They are but as BG said we don't know the line-up. However, if we decide to have all of our u18s available, which we still didn't then there aren't many clubs in the country with a stronger group. We're literally just talking about City and Chelsea.

Liverpool U18s v Tottenham: Jaros, Larouci (Glatzel), Lewis, R Williams, Boyes, Clayton (N Williams), Tagseth, Dixon-Bonner, Millar, Jones, Camacho (Longstaff).

you'll probably know them more than me but i recognise dixon-bonner, camacho and jones(probably their best player alongside brewster). either way it was a good result.

If I'm honest I don't know them as much but if we go from the midfield to attack. Tagseth they signed, as you say EDB is highly rated, so is Camacho, Jones and Longstaff who was brought on. The only player missing is Brewster, but then we didn't play TOB, so they clearly came with a strong team.

Great result. As I touched on in the previous post, it is so impressive to think that there are so many different lie-ups we could have gone for. When you consider Reynolds has looked decent at LB, that defence is incredible.

I don't think I've ever seen an u18s defence with as much ability on the ball as that, as well as also actually being good defenders.

Medical at Huddersfield tomorrow for Alex Pritchard 12m accepted by Norwich..via sky sports.

Part of me was enjoying how him and Maddison were linking up and I was thinking he should try and get promoted with them but saw where they were.

Great for Pritch to end up in the Prem, it felt inevitable. Hopefully he settles and shows his ability, England could do with a player of his type

Brilliant result from Spurs Youth. This Liverpool team has been undefeated so far this year and are topping the Northern Premier Youth league ahead of Man City and a strong Man U team. The team is not the strongest Liverpool can put out with Rhian Brewster, Liam Coyle and Glen McAuley (all full time professionals) missing and their jewel in the crown Ben Woodburn. Still a great result given we were at full strength minus Oakley-Boothe (what has happened to him?). Tashan has not played a single game for the youth team so far this season and has only made 1 appearance in the Champions Youth League. As for is U23 appearances there hasn't been any! Is he suffering from some serious injury or illness?

Forgot that Woodburn was still an u18. Don't know much about Coyle or McAuley, so they were missing a fair few players, but like you say still a good result. The fact that Glatzel didn't start that game in Brewster's absence suggests his fallen a bit.

tob came back from the world cup injured but should be back soon.

where i fear for him is that now he's "part of the first team squad", pochettino won't want him playing for the u18s/u23s so he's missing what is imo a crucial part of his(and any young player's) development. he may well still play in the uyl for the u19s but i can't help but feel he needs to be playing regularly.

Heard nothing official on Oakley boothe. But I think he’s been injured. He put out a tweet end November saying can’t wait too get back to it .

i'd be interested to hear who others rate as the best cb coming through in terms of long-term potential.

japhet tanganga
tj eyoma
brooklyn lyons-foster

being the main three. think it's quite hard to separate them but if pushed i'd probably go with lyons-foster just because of his composure both with and without the ball. in terms of profile i think he's the type that the top clubs are all looking for in a cb. tanganga i'd say is the best pure defender of the three but perhaps the weakest on the ball, not that he's bad but the other two i'd have slightly ahead. what is interesting is that none of them are particularly tall, i hope that didn't play into poch's thinking when he took dinzeyi(6'4) on the US tour and not eyoma or especially tanganga who'd had a far better season than dinzeyi and is also a year older, so theoretically you'd have thought he'd have been the one to go.

edit: i completely forgot about jaden brown in all of that, probably because he's missed a lot of the season through injury but it also remains to be seen whether he'll end up at lb or cb, with the other three i think it's pretty clear they're all centre backs.

one more question: how good is Keanan Bennetts? Does he have Prem LB potential? Is the future left side him and Sessegnon?

I like him a lot. Could definitely make it imo. Good pace, physique technically good with an eye for goal.

Im a big fan Keanan and think he is made for that LWB role. Dont know if he'll ever commit himself enough to the defensive side to reach his full potential. But going forward he's absolutely devastating attacking from deep especially with his 2 footedness.

yep Blake totally agree with you, BLF has the highest potential, he's quick reads the game well and is good outwide in the half spaces due to expierence at FB. He's a real rolls royce of a defender and I see him with at LCB, with Sanchez in the middle and Foyth at RCB as a dominate back three that can do it all.

I still rate Tanganga really high, infact I like him more than CCV. Cause I think he's better on the ball and quicker on the turn. Realy all depends on how well they can handle the pressure and the mental side of the game. Be disappointed if either one didnt get a real shot with the first team, but especially Tanganga because I see him at worse as being a very versaitile defender being able to play all three CB postions and could probably do a job at RB and as a destroying DM.

Eyoma is a lad who has been really unfortunate with his postioning. I understand why he was used at FB to further his development, but his basic defending at CB has been naive at times. And he also has massive competition in Juan Foyth who I think can become a legit world defender.

Jadon I like technically really good, got the FB expierence and is good at making forward runs. Might not be enough space for him to grow at the club but think he'll land a very good level either way.
