I can believe the recruitment thing 100%. Although we've made some missteps along the way, it seems like we've always had many facets and departments within the club that work towards bringing a player in eg. the summer we got Soldado you could track things quite easily - Baldini would be the first point of contact with a player, then various other club officials before finally Levy being involved in negotiations at the end several weeks later. With the manager involved along the way at some point as well of course. Plus, we have always used agents. I'd imagine things have only got better since then as well. Not to mention the whole scouting/analytics side of things as well in finding said targets

Arsenal have seemed to me in the last five plus years to be mired in an outdated way of trying to get players. Ever since Dein left it seemed to me that Wenger was basically deciding upon and running the entire recruitment strategy himself, and refusing to play ball with most agents and inflating prices along the way. I think this saw them miss out on an abundance of targets before the wheels kind of started to come off.

I can easily see how we would be light years ahead of them currently in recruiting and as they continue to hopefully fall away somewhat, we could be overtaking them ( and have already done so in some instances ) in a variety of areas - training ground, stadium, wages which all hopefully leads to us overtaking them on a yearly basis on the pitch as well.

Why are we not in the equation? We all know the truth;)

If we want a player, even if he wants us, please understand that it is not them preferencing the club to ours. Had to put that out there. Other irons may be in the fire-possibly?

Don’t buy the media trash that we are second cousins in our oref

On your last point mainly. That will change (wages) in summer, so all past-tense. Bigger club? Let’s see at the opening of new stadium. We will then have the best facilities in all aspects to the gypsies that reside in Islington. Off-field they are no match to us in any department.

The influence of our new recruitment team has no rivals. If you only knew.
"Influence of the new recruitment team" sounds interesting. I've not been too impressed by our recruitment the last couple of years, for the most part, so hopefully this will be a significant improvement.

Any player in their right mind deciding to join them over chavs (forgive me) or us, if wages on offer etc is even is absolutely crazy. That is a very educated opinion with what is happening down there behind closed doors-I love it :D

Yep. They are a mess. You only have to look at their player contract situation to see that. Plus there's all the in board fighting.

They are trying to sort themselves out with the recruitment side but it doesn't matter who they get in while Wenger is there. He wants final say on everything. The new guy from Dortmund could offer Wenger loads of great targets but he'd probably turn them down out of stubbornness.

Only worry is they screw up so badly Usmanov gets in and they rise from the ashes. Would be typical of them...
