How are you jumping straight into American players from the word commercial? Commercial could just as easily mean, and probably does mean considering the stadium is opening in about 6 or 7 months, that we have a naming rights deal that is close.

America is the growing market, and with Nike on board we have a chance to stake a big claim to a big piece of that.

I believe (I may be wrong!) Hercules' hints are at least somewhat themed around ongoing discussion on here, so 'commercial' ties into talks about America, Nike, the stadium et al which have been kicked around for the last ~ week on here and elsewhere among Spurs fans.

Sorry if this has already been discussed but I really believe that JJ’s info on Twitter this morning is in relation to contracts and not new signings. If you read between the lines he's saying that the ‘targets’ would walk straight into the first team, basically because they’re already first team squad members. I believe its to do with Kane, Alli and Verts new contracts. The reference to the ball being in their court, refers to Toby and whether he’ll sign the extension.

I think JJ is playing with people a little bit here, after all the guy gets bombarded on social media, and has every right to have his fun. ;)

JJ then replied - Big time - straight in

If he is talking about contracts, he would not said window.
Lets not over complicate...It is about a transfer target, possibly same one Hercules may be referring to.

Too much can go wrong. We cannot upset the apple cart by leaking what the club is trying to do. Just STOP believing certain clubs are preferred over us. Agents going overtime to pressure us. Won’t work!:LOL:

We have the targets - and that's great. But now we have to make it happen.

It's all very well to be ambitious - but now we have to back up that ambition with hard cash to bring in these 'Big Time' players.

Will we Dare and Do?

I feel like this means something will be done this window, I mean I could be wrong but he didn't say will they be done next window. So I'm as happy as a pig in shit and will enjoy watching the emotional rollercoaster the rest of you lot proceed to go through for the next 2 and a half weeks :D

Even if deals get done behind the scenes but nothing is announced imma buy me a big bag of popcorn, take the day off work, and just watch the meltdown.

So it appears that agents are trying to pressure us for more money, to hurry us up or both with the other club interested line, either way it's positive.
Makes me wonder if our high profile of the last couple of years and the new stadium is making us a more interesting proposition than some of us realise.
