Yeah maybe I’m reading too much into the misspelling of our Dembele’s first name. Just spitballing, that Dembele’s usually a starter when he’s fit. Whereas his Celtic striker namesake, probably wouldn’t be.

But like I say, I’m probably just reading too much into it.

Edit, or he could just be talking about Sissoko :facepalm: yup I’m being a plonker.

But good to hear we have both optimistic and achievable targets even if we don't get all, or any, of them this window.

Think Malcom will end up elsewhere. Pulisic wouldn't be easy to do but can see us trying for him. Wouldn't be surprised to see Kondogbia and Sessegnon at us in the summer.

I was listening to talksport the other night, ( I can’t remember who said it Darren Lewis??) and Poch knows and is close to Mahrez’s agents and that Poch was keen on him and the feeling was mutual

Can definitely see why JJ is saying transfers are getting harder and harder. So much competition at the top end of the PL and all considering the same players.

Liverpool and Arsenal are actively looking around this window due to key outgoings and have shared targets. Utd as ever since Fergie left are throwing money around in a desperate attempt to reclaim their throne.

Even if we are starting to get more competitive financially we just aren't as desperate as the others. Just look at Lemar, almost went for £90m or something stupid in the end. We must have been expecting to deal at half of that.

Say it is Mahrez or Pulisic, you know 2 or 3 of those clubs are going to come in hard if it goes public too soon. We can't afford a bidding war. Sounds like there's a lot of chess moves and bluffing involved. Poch even intimated how tough Hitchens job is in his presser today!

JJ mentioned 3 targets, 2 of which the media has linked us with. I'd say that Malcom and Sessegnon are the two. Also Herc spoke about us being chosen over other top teams, tonight United and Arsenal have been linked with Malcom, maybe he's chosen us over those two. Would be great for our rep to outdo those two.
And for the unknown, maybe Jean-Michel Seri? I think we now need a CM and he's a player we've not really been linked

He just said that basically poch wants 2 players challenging for each position but in reality kane, toby, lloris and eriksen are certs for their position.
If you lot want to read more into it be my guest but i think he was being pretty clear on what he meant.

If I didn’t think it was completely undoable, I’d have a punt on Sanchez being someone that the itk’s are talking about. He’s got 3 big clubs fighting over him and we’re not being mentioned in the press, obviously. A big player who would go straight in the first team etc etc. Someone we could tie up now (verbally) for the summer.

I know in my heart it’s not him but even before all the itk stuff these last couple of days, he’s the one I really wanted. He would’ve won us the league last season. Bit of revenge for Campbell too. Would be so fucking perfect but I know it can’t be him really.

In which case I’m gonna guess Zaha or Mahrez.
