Do Spurs need to upgrade on Hugo Lloris?

Best goalkeeper we've had in at least quarter of a century. If there's an upgrade out there that's realistic for us to sign then I haven't heard of him.

i think we need to let Vorm go, and sign a young, talented keeper to really challenge Hugo, and keep him on his toes. Real competition breeds excellence.

Hugo needs to spend 75% of his daily training routine on his kicking (all ranges - in air/on ground); 20% on his positioning for low, angled shots; 5% on his superman ball-punching.

Everything else comes naturally.

Nothing but love and appreciation for Hugo, but he can still improve.

If we were ever to seek a replacement, I'd want Schmechel as a main target.

If by some miracle we could realistically get donaruma, which we won't, then I would consider selling Lloris purely because donaruma is quite possibly the best young keeper in the world and could well go on to be the best for years to come. But as that's not going to happen we would be insane to even consider selling Lloris. Although his distribution is bloody awful.

Well I suppose we should upgrade any player if we can, but in many cases, like this one, it's not really plausible. Though if really we were in the market for a keeper (which I seriously doubt we are), there is this rumour, perhaps only in the twisted and feeble minds of Liverpool supporters, that Alisson could be bought for 40M. Hopefully it's untrue, would hate to see him wasting his talent at Liverpool. If you've not watched him at all this season, you should, he's been phenomenal.

(ofc supposedly RM and PSG are also interested in him, making the likelihood of Pool signing him roughly equivalent to zero)

Next up: Do Spurs need an upgrade on Harry Kane?

I very seriously doubt that Poch is looking to replace Lloris. If anything, we'll be lucky if Lloris stays with us. He's been a fantastic signing and is so important to how we play. He could get into pretty much any side in the world, and is, by all accounts, including Poch's, an absolute model pro and almost part of the coaching team. No player is always at his best, but I would replace virtually every other position on the pitch before our keeper.

Tldr: no.

Lloris has been poor this season but he deserves time to turn it around before attempting to upgrade

what was gazzaniga signed for then? we gave him a five year contract so they must see something in him long-term?

Upgrading from Lloris is asinine, He is not a issue we have at the club at the moment , he imo is a small ripple that for now we don't worry about.

Was exactly my thought as well, only one performance for us so far but he was MOTM in that, I don’t feel we need a young understudy keeper, we have one.

Hugo once again so far today is showing why he could be upgraded on not for his general keeping but for his kicking and passing

Again against a team that presses he puts us in the shit time and time again
