Fat Sam basically admitting he's come here to draw before a ball has been kicked. I hope this isn't 90 mins of boring shite.

XI he has put is not for draw. It has decent front 4. Bolasie always plays against us well. Tosun is unknown quantity.

Because 3 at the back should be enough to handle a bus parking side, and allow both our full backs to play much further forward.

And a 3rd defender gives security to our outside CB's when they join the attack, Our 3 at the back is actually a more attacking formation for us funnily enough.

McCarthy has been kicking the shit out of everyone in recent games. Fat Sam will get him fired up.

It's a turgid CM2 tbf.

If they play together then I want to see Moose surge forward and get shots in and play vertical balls or it will be sideways and back all day long from both of them and that'd be useless against a sit-back-for-your-lives-and-break-when-you-can Sam team that's likely to be out there today.

I'd rather Lamela next to Wanyama today and have Vic sit and demolish and Lamela pull strings from deep and thread the ball in-between them and be incisive.

If we were to do this surely eriksen would be better than lamela in that role?

Both would have their merits; would depend on the oppo. Lamela is much fiercer, grittier and tougher and plays more vertical and reverse balls than Christian.

I prefer him coming from deep. (ooooh).
