Ok, as it stands we are just three points behind fourth, third and second albeit United have the extra game, just do our stuff and all three of those teams need to be at the top of their game for the rest of the season for us not to make it.

I still feel we need a quality signing this window, either in CM or AM. Could give the whole club a lift and push us on another level in the quest to get top 4 which will be extremely difficult. Liverpool’s in top form, united always find a way and chelsea will find their form again.

United and Chelsea are bang in this race for fourth.

Personally I think the United game is the biggest of the lot. Beat them and we can have them.

A lot will still depend on progress, or otherwise, in CL. If we progress and Chelsea go out to Barcelona that will be a boost to their league chances and Vice-versa. Also, the transfer window may be key. I have a feeling that Chelsea may spot the danger and make a couple of signings and we know that Man Utd are after Sanchez

Utd vs Stoke tomorrow is a write-off.

Burnley vs Utd followed by our game against Utd could be decisive.

At the moment though I'm looking at Chelsea as the team more likely to drop out. They don't have reliable goalscorers.

annoying comment by Alan Green, commentator, that ' for once, Chelsea and Man Utd fans will be cheering on Liverpool' - No you idiot, completely the opposite( and, of course, he didn't mention us............)

He's a Liverpool fan. A boring, tedious, deluded Liverpool fan like half the media.

And we have Wanyama back who will make a massive difference to our midfield and just when we need that depth as well.

Dembele also starting to look like his beastly best.

We're looking incredibly strong now. I think many of us underestimate our own strengths and changing circumstances.

Mourinho will definitely park the bus against us. He knows he can't afford to lose that one.

We should study this Liverpool game and replicate everything with the press against City.
We play like that against Goons, Utd we should be ok.

Liverpool will probably make more moves this month. United seems to be signing Sanchez shortly unless City makes a last minute move and if they miss him to city, they’ll probabky make another move for someone. Arsenal might sign Malcom and PAE. We must have an answer to this and give the rest of the squad a real boost.

I am confident of top4.

Chelsea have a big problem because Conte doesnt trust Batshuayi & Morata is missing chances. United will eventually fall apart seeing how City are doing overall. Livberpool are in great form...but IMO, with no Coutinho if one of Salah or Firmino or Mane gets injured, it will get tough for them.

Same holds true for us interms of injury. But as long as Toby is back fit in next 2 weeks, we should be ok. Wanyama back has already made a huge difference for us.

I thought Liverpool would win today. It's a massive kick in the teeth for us.

We just need to get in good results against the other top 5 teams. We still have them to play (Liverpool don't) so it's in our hands.

Liverpool haven't lost since they played us. It's why I was hoping they'd lose today. They just keep grinding out wins like we did last season.

I could see them finishing second. But I could also see us finishing second.

To be fair city have looked a bit tired of late. They are pushing on 4 fronts, and whilst it was a good win for Liverpool, city didn't really need to win.
Hopefully, they will slip up somewhere along the line, but other sides are playing badly as well. All we can do is keep on winning,

Gonna be real tough to get top 4 this year, Utd will get Sanchez and that push them to the next level. Our only hope is Chelsea I believe and that means we need to win at Stamford Bridge....!

Gonna be tough, really hope we get top 4 after finishing 2nd last year but unfortunately reckon we will fall short, it is in our hands but we know what our form is like away at Anfield/Stamford Bridge so 0 points there and Wembley for Utd, Arsenal, City is gonna be really tough.

Hope I am wrong but utd getting Sanchez is a game changer for them and Pool look too good (pains me to say it)

Can someone clarify something for me. Is it right that if an English team wins the CL we get five Cl places for the league, or is it just if the fifth place side wins it?
