Aubameyang is a very good player. Is he better than Sanchez though?

That is the important question, because unless he is better, Arsenal are not improving. And if he is better, why aren't either Man City or Utd after him, especially since one of them will be missing out on Sanchez?

I of the mindset now they it doesn't matter who Arsenal sign, they'll still be mediocre. The players themselves rarely improve anyway.

Their problems run a lot more deeper than just merely signing named players, the culture and the mentality of the club is just off.

I like it. I don't know whether I agree with it, but I like it and I hope you're right.

It sounds ridiculous but i'm actually worried about Arsenal.

If they become even worse than they look at the minute they could even drop out the top 6. If they got rid of Wenger on top of that then depending on who they get in i'd actually consider them one of the favourites for the league the following season.

Wenger is the biggest problem at Arsenal, and if they have no European football too they could be a force to be reckoned with. Question is would the board have the bottle to sack him?

At the end of the day, the structure of the club is still in place and they will always have power in the transfer market. As soon as Wenger leaves they'll probably be up there fighting again and surely he doesn't have long left now, 18 months max i'd say.

With that squad, which is unbalanced, devoid of quality in key areas and lacks a lot of character? Not for me mate, they need a lot of restructuring on many levels and their handling of contracts looks appalling.

It will take some time to clean up the malaise they've slipped into, and its quite deep rooted.

Didn't make that much of a difference against us did he? So it only confirms that one new player can't really turn things around for a team. Because it's a TEAM effort.

If they can't improve after signing players like Sanchez and Ozil then honestly what hope have the got? We heard the same thing about the LB they signed from Schalke and Xhaka and Mustafi, Lacazette - players that were meant to push them on and look what's happened to them.

It's as clear as day that the culture of Arsenal is stagnation, players as way too comfortable there to the point that they're not pushed and therefore don't improve.

Good player BUT a player who has done nothing to help stop the collapse Dortmund have been having recently. I'm convinced he's a player who would not effect Arsenal one jot.

There will be a battle between him and Lacazette and I certainly see Lacazettes nose been put out of joint. In fact he looked utterly pissed off with how his Arsenal career is going. I don't even think you could fit them both in the same team?

Malcom will help but he's going to be quite inconsistent and that absolute shower of mediocrity in the rest of the squad isn't going to guide him through that, let alone Wengers inability to improve young players.

They will be signings to keep the heat off the board for a little bit.

They are lacking real leadership and Wengers tactics are no longer the standard in which to copy.
