For me they're always a threat until mathematically proved otherwise. Even under Pochettino - our best manager in my lifetime - we've finished behind them in the league in two out of the last three years. I'm always going to be wary of them until we've mathematically put them to bed, even in a season like this one where they look like they're struggling somewhat.

Indeed. In the summer half their first team, and the best half, was in the final year of their contracts or over thirty. For a long time they have needed to improve as a defensive unit. But Whinger seems completely blind to it. All his serious effort seems to go into improving an already impressive (up to now) attacking unit. He spent a huge amount of money (at the time) buying Ozil and Sanchez, when he needed to sort his defensive unit out. He has had them for several years, still hasn't sorted their defensive unit out and is now losing them for a fraction of their current market value (because he let contracts get out of hand).

People say they have money - and they do. But not as much as City, Chelsea and United. They have more money than us - but we will start making inroads on that with the new stadium and associated dealings and have a better squad, youth set-up, youth players, training facilities, and soon a better stadium. Hell, even the Mickeys look like finishing above them - all joking aside, how many times has that happened in the last decade? If they miss out on CL this season, that will be two seasons in a row, for a club that isn't really structured to cope without it. And their prospects won't look great for next season. With a major squad rebuild and no clear advantages, financial or elsewhere, over any of the five clubs they are competing with for four CL places.

On top of which, their have a divisive manager and a divided boardroom.

:joyful:

Wenger has been atrocious in his time at Arsenal in signing centre backs. Ive said it for years. The best ones he had he inherited or stole from us. The majority of the other ones have been awful.

They basically need 3 new first choice centre backs

Before, During and After v Bournemouth

Özil Ramsey should be available if not then god help us.

Elneny and xhaka is the equivalent to having ronaldo and messi in the same team. We are in for a treat. #fact

With Özil maybe being short and Alexis on the way out, is our squad cost even higher then Bournemouth's?

Can't see past a win for us. Arséne usually knows how not to lose to the #****hole teams (other than Stoke away).

Already defending like a Sunday League team.

Very scrappy so far. Resembling a league 1 game

We'll win this easily.

Welbeck and Iwobi is filth. Wouldn't wish it on spurs.

Lacazette looks like he’s asking himself why he left Lyon for this ****

As near to a championship side I've seen us field, I think, ever. Welbeck and Iwobi again... How does this happen?

Welbeck is the black Heskey.

Welbeck is just doing what welbeck does.. he almost complete a pass guys!! To the corner post but thats a difrent topic! (Corner post?)

Bournemouth fans chanting you're ****ing **** to Welbeck, knowledgeable crowd down there

Welbeck and Iwobi having a contest to see which one can be a bigger waste of space?

Bournemouth are genuinely ****e. We're so bad not be winning this.

A good old bottom of the table clash here

If Welbeck goes to the World Cup I’m supporting Egypt.

Don’t want to go overboard but Wilshere reminds me of a Zidane - Roy Keane hybrid.

You've only got Welbeck. Even muff fans taking the piss now.

Our team today is legitimately Crystal Palace tier, the only difference between the two is that they have a proper manager. :ROFLMAO:

Sell Welbeck!!!!

I don't know what kind of parallel universe you're living in but in this one you can only sell things with value. :D

Cech with his first Arsenal save, ever

We're still on target for a EL place. Come on lads!

We look like 10th place team. Our attack is the worst I've seen.

There was a time you could say that we were one or two players away from catching the teams above us. Now I'm embarrassed to even bring up that same conversation.

The good news is we're absolutely diabolical.

Welbeck tried a kick and run and forgot to run.

I reckon Wenger would of had a more successful career if he stayed making adult movies.

0-1

Bellarin d'Or

Through ball by Iwobi finished by Bellerin. Season of miracles not over yet it seems

Need a 2nd. 88th min penalty incoming.

1-1

**** off Cech

Sanchez is giggling.

2-1 Bournemouth incoming. (y)

Iwobi looks like he suffering now from the effects of his Saturday night out.

Ramsey save us

2-1

What a joke scumbags

Shambles

Yeh, thats enough Arsenal for today. I think Ill save electricity.

Keep going lads!

Walcott on for Iwobi. We're really down to 10 men now.

We're playing fecking Bournemouth, they've been horrendous this season. Our U-23's should be beating this shower.

We're losing to Bournemouth and we can't get out of our own half.

This needs sorted. If it isn't we are headed for a mid table club. Anyone denying that is a complete fool

Özil right now sitting at home bashing his injured knee into a wall.

Can't stand Eddie Howe either, looks like the type of guy who gets dominated by his 20 stone girlfriend.

Gotta give it to Theo, close to breaking the offside record from the bench.

Every time we bring Walcott on his value decreases.

since coming on - ramsey is playing like he isn't fit - and theo is playing like he's theo Walcott

We've won 1 of our last 7 games. Lovely stuff.

Guarantee you that this isn’t even the low point of our season yet. We’re capable of so much more.

If we're auditioning for a place in next season's relegation battle we're definitely guaranteed a berth.

Fulltime

Right, I'm off to wrap my car into a tree at 90.

Now lets all try watching the Wenger Post match interview without punching a baby.

Even the lone spud fan in the office at work doesn't bother taking the piss anymore. We have sunk so low. (y) (Good lad)

We are closer to last place then first place point wise... 22 down, 23 up, 11 points out of the last 27 possible.

How are we going to replace these players when the chairman is a tight bastard. Worse than that prick levy across the road yet they still manage to pick up good bargains.

In the past five years, Arsenal have spent £318m on new players. That's not chicken feed...

Brutal.

Watched bit of Arse fan tv.
Funniest for a long while.
The anger has moved to resignation and they're actually laughing at themselves now.
My favorite line was 'At least I got to see the seaside today' lmao.
