I'm the only Spurs fan in my mates Fantasy Football league and I've had Son in my team for ages, but absolutely none of the other guys in it have him. I checked and he's only been selected by 13% of players.

Honestly makes me think it's some kind of unconscious racism in the back of a lot of English people's minds that an Asian player like him can't really be as good as he seems to be. I've definitely heard that vibe from other fans in the past.

He wasn't playing regularly for the first 14 games of the season, so there were better players available for the price. Since then his ownership has steadily increased. He's now the 10th most owned midfielder, so your assessment doesn't make sense.

As for racism - really? No idea what would lead you to that judgment?

Hope Jan is ok. That foul by Rooney on him (who should have been sent off again) was bad. Jan played on but he took a heavy kick to the calf.
Was working when the game was on and they didn't show it on MOTD I see

76,251 today, we had over 80 against Liverpool earlier which is the Premier league record. We need 83 to get the top flight record.

We'll get that against Utd I think, lots of London based Utd fans and generally tourists will push us over the edge.

Not so sure. Its a mid week game. That rules out a hell of a lot of fans.
If it was a 3pm Saturday then yeah.
Might do it. Just saying.

I'd love to know how many times Hugo touched the ball today. It must have been one of the lowest that he's had during a game. I don't think he even had to make a save.

I still applaud Dembele when he just strolls past a player, i'm not sure if others do that when they watch him, i just randomly clap and make weird noises at the ease that he mugs off other professional footballers. His footwork is like porn to me. I just love it when he is fully fit and i'm sorry to say for Dier, Wanyama is going to take back the DM position and is an absolute monster for us (the competiton for places will bring out the best in both though).

Fit Dembele and Wanyama makes me feel all warm inside.

Yes, of course, I know goals win games (obviously!) ... and that was basicaly the "only" difference between this game and the recent vs West Ham (1-1); yet fans can't stop to praise this Spurs' display as opposed to the "slaughtering" of Spurs' display after the WH game - a game Spurs dominated (71 % possession) more than vs Everton yesterday and had plenty of chances as well.
Yes, Spurs had 2 genuine appeals for a penalty, which would have changed the game (if Spurs had scored of course).
I normally don't jump in joy because Spurs score an early goal but vs those park-the-bus teams it is becoming more and more imporant how immensely important that 1st goal is (no, I am not saying it's not important vs the "better" clubs as well) as then these clubs are forced to attack a bit more and thus open up their defense a little bit.
Good to see Dembele back in form - but, if his current inury situation doesn't improve I would still be open to sell him....at £30M ++ IF a ready made replacement is all set to sign for Spurs.
Son is becoming better and more "stable" by each game now.
If Kane had not been, well, errr Kane he may have been off after some time in the 2nd half. Yet he scored 2 goals!
Excellent pass from Aurier to set up Son's goal.

He had 30 passes. No saves. Read a stat earlier that Everton's last shot on target was in 2017 :ROFLMAO:

We've been scoring more goals since we switched to the 4 at the back though?
Yes - in fact we have looked really fluid recently. Despite his shortcomings, Aurier has provided a good outlet although his final ball could improve somewhat.

I hope we can carry this form into our next quite tough fixture schedule. The really defining period of our race for Top 4.

Southampton (A)
Man Utd (H)
Liverpool (A)
Arsenal (H)

I think a good outcome would be WWDW. But Man Utd will come to shut up shop. Perhaps if Toby’s fit for then we may switch back to 5 at the back. And we can’t leave our Son or Eriksen at the moment.

Just wish he'd stop putting us under pressure with his frankly piss poor distribution. Twice yesterday he gave Everton a foothold when it was totally unnecessary. Some fkin idiotic decision making and it seems to be getting worse.

Thought it was a great performance yesterday.
Everton played nothing like West Ham did so not sure where that comparison comes from.
Everton didn't park the bus. They should have.
4th goal was just brilliant. The build up got me stiff.
MOTD didnt do the game justice. And anyone else notice both Everton players wre about 2 yards offside for the effort from a goal kick but it never got a mention.

You can't be offside from a goal kick.

Racism implies an antogonistic view of a person because of his/her race. To me, it’s just a bias against players from certain places, rather than some virulent racism.
