Can't argue with that, but will Poch drop Dier? Not sure.

But that's our strongest eleven at the moment now Wanyama has eased his way back and got up to speed.

There's no way he can drop Son and revert to 3 at the back. Son is one of the first names on the team sheet.

I suspect he'll start the same eleven as today, and rotate Dembele, Dier and Wanyama when our tough period starts.

Rest Aurier, Dier and Eriksen.

KWP, Wanyama and Lamela to step in.

Long season, this is resting not dropping.

Unchanged for me, which is our strongest available fully-fit team.

We have a week to prepare, and then have a full week afterwards before a game where we can rest half the squad. No need to rest players for Southampton.

We really need Dembele to remain fit and in the kind of form he showed vs Everton. He elevates the entire side when he is so dominant.

Only change should be Rose for Davies if he’s fit. Otherwise, no changes. I’d give Wanyama more time to get back up to full speed then play him the full 90 against United. Play Dembele here then give him a good week and a half rest for the United game.

That could well be the team.

Wanyama is going to come back at some point. Now that Son is a definite starter, Sanchez or Dier is the choice if Dembele is fit to start.

At some point Poch has a tough choice but sensible rotation can keep everyone happy whilst doing what's best for the team.

I think we should stick to the same team that beat Everton. We had a good rest so need to spare any of the players who faced Everton
But if we decide to go with another set of players, I'd like Dier at the back alongside Sanchez and Jan - 3 4 3 formation

With some big tough away games against Liverpool and Juventus on the horizon I think it might be an idea to play 3 at the back in this game. We haven't played it for a while and we definitely need to play it in those two games in my opinion. Might be good idea to use the tactic before then so the players are used to it.

Bang on except for Dier in defence IMO. Sanchez far superior in that department.
I don’t disagree with you per se, but I do think that Sanchez is on poor form and has made a few errors lately which we are fortunate not to have been punished for. A time out wouldn’t hurt him, he’s just 21 after all.
