I love the Skol chant that the Vikings borrowed (with permission) from Iceland after their 2016 run. It's the closest I've come to seeing a NFL/NBA/NHL fan base do something like you'd expect to see in Europe.

So who else was jumping around around their living room at 1:08am and then unable to sleep even though they had to get up for work at 6?

Amazing ending. No idea why Williams doesn't make the tackle but one of the most amazing endings to a sporting event I've ever witnessed. Thought we were beat.

Today might require coffee... Worth it though. Get in Vikings!

Just seen the highlights on the Beeb. I know my only contribution to this thread has been to criticise the general level of defensive ability in the NFL, but that was quite something from whoever was covering Diggs.

To not only miss a fairly simple tackle, but also take out the only other player who could have made the tackle instead, was truly impressive.

It was some bizarre decision making. I think the general consensus is he was trying to avoid a defensive pass interference call, but even that seems weird because Diggs catches the ball inside the 35, by the touchline and with 4 or 5 seconds left. So, whatever else happened (DPI, Field Goal if he steps out of bounds or TD) once Diggs makes that catch the only way Saints are winning that game is by making the tackle, so the Safety should have just cleaned him out and hoped for the best.

I nearly fell out of bed when Diggs stayed in bounds.

Incredible ending to an enjoyable day of games.

Only just seen that Vikings TD.
What on earth is the Saints player going diving in like that for???
At least if he goes in with his arms he's going to knock Diggs out of play at worst.

Diggs couldnt believe his luck. Williams tried the big hit without using his arms and paid the price. Great games yesterday.

i can only surmise he was afraid of a PI penalty which the refs were giving freely. and as I pointed out somebody else on the saints had a major brain fart and allowed the Diggs to get there uncovered.

Titans firing Mularkey to battle it out for Josh McDaniels. Yikes. How awful is the HC pool this year that Josh McDaniels is getting his pick of jobs? Really?

As a longtime suffering Lions fan I can only look on with jealousy at the Vikings, and rage at the Saints player Williams last night. We've been a better team than them in a few recent seasons yet have never had a deep playoff run. That's the difference between hiring Caldwell and Zimmer I guess. The NFC North is just such a difficult division right now ( minus the Bears ) and the Lions have lost out on winning it in week 16-17 twice in recent times.

Looks like its onto Patricia and some renewed hope we can do something going foward, but Vikings have cap space and a lot of their O and D still tied up for a good while. We aren't too far behind just need an RB and some new players in the front 7 of our D

What a finish to the Vikings game, that is why NFL is so good. Went to bed at half time, thought Vikings had it wrapped up, woke up this morning and checked my phone first thing, then watched the hightlights.

One day, my Bears will still be alive in January....one day

I've heard a few people say he was trying to avoid PI but I'm not sure I buy that. If that were the case, surely he should just hold his ground back a yard or two, let Diggs catch it and then just grab him and bring him down. As long as he kept him in bounds, there wasn't enough time for a field goal so they would've won the game. The way he lowers his head and dives forward makes it look far more like he was just going in for a highlight reel big hit to me. The counter argument to that is people saying he was running too fast to stop, but even then surely if you're trying to avoid the PI you wouldn't fly in leading with your shoulder like that, you'd just run past the guy or something

Obviously only he knows what was really going on, but it looks more like a poor attempt at a hit to me.

Of all the times in what has been a solid Rookie season to actually play like a rookie he chose that moment to do so.

He'll learn.

Great game for the neutral. What a finish.

yup, any other time and that play is forgotten. plus, Kenny Vaccaro is the Saints veteran safety out injured that should have been there. I guess if your whole season comes down to a rookie making one play there is blame to go around.

Would anybody like John Harbaugh? I'd personally drive him to any city that wants the rich mans Jeff Fisher free of charge.
