He is as close to eriksen as you could get really, in regards to playing style. Obviously nowhere near Eriksen yet but certainly would be the perfect back up.

He has only played in a midfield 2 when norwich chase games. Certainly not as effective there and not physical enough to play there in our team at the moment.

Honestly though, ive been going to Norwich for 15 years or so and seen some good players. But he is head and shoulders the best ive seen there. You could see within seconds of watching him live that he was another level to the rest. He is your stereotypical classy tottenham player.

I’d imagine if there is a deal to be done, it likely would be like the Dele transfer. Buy, loan back for the rest of the season. Edwards perhaps thrown in to sweeten the deal? Maybe CCV heading there too?

With the loan of Edwards to Norwich, do we see Maddison in return maybe?

How would he compare to winks - in terms of style and potentially taking his spot

Ever since we won the lottery with Dele Alli I have wondered why we haven't been taking more of a punt with these sort of players. In fact I posted that exact thing in his rumour thread 3 years ago!

I was keen on him then and still am, looks a player and has rave reviews everywhere he has been which is a good sign of attitude etc.

Always possible Edwards was part of the deal that sent JM our way and Norwich asked if Maddison could stick around for their next match, a certain FA Cup replay...

Interesting to read this from someone who actually goes to Norwich matches. Yesterday was the first I had heard of him but from my extensive YouTube research he seems close in playing style to Adam Lallana. I definitely see the sense in signing him considering his relatively low wage demands and skillset. Apparently tho Norwich are asking for £20m+. Do you think he’s worth it?

Yeah, I can see the Lallana comparisom. Perhaps doesnt play at the same intensity as Lallana but sure Poch would add that. I also think Maddison is a bit easier on the eye, as much as i think Lallana is techniquely excellent.

£20m in this market? I would pay it. Would look a good price in a few years time. I cant think of anyone else in Prem who is better as a back up/potential starter. Certainly not within that price bracket anyway.

If he came now he would bairly get on the bench unless we get a few injures. I like the idea of this kid but I would prefer if we got someone who would immediately slot into the starting 11 rotation.

Chelsea v Norwich is on Wednesday @ 19.45...

Might get to see Edwards and Maddison play at the same time...

If it's for the three places behind the striker you are probably looking at close to £100m to get someone better. If they would come.
