Who says they all bought the fake tickets? Those print-off ones are literally a sheet of paper. Some of them could have made them and been trying it on

Either way, as if the clubs going to go “oh go on then, it kind of looks like the real thing”.

I'm sure a lot of these buyers were somewhat last minute tourist chancers, just trying to catch a PL game.
They would have almost certainly needed a registered account with the club to purchase, even in General Sale, and I'm not sure how easy that is if you're not from within the UK.
Therefore, they probably went with what seemed to be the quickest/cheapest option... Unfortunately they were stung.

Girlfriend (we live in Europe) got me tickets for the United game though Ticketgum as a Christmas present. Looking online doesn't give up much good or bad either way besides it obviously being stupid not buying though the club. Funny thing is that most likely she's just overpaid and I'll get a shit seat but that's actually the best I can hope for with the accompanying RyainAir ticket :D.

So yeah, am I coming back to drink in a pub near Wembley and ring her pretending to be in the stadium or it's all golden?
