Because the propaganda says so?

You're odd. You have massive qualms with us signing people like Keita Balde, Aurier and a number of other players that have previously reportedly had an issue - yet here you are acting like there's no obvious issue stemming from signing a player from North Korea.

Never said there was no issue with it. I just don't judge the situation based on an article in the Daily Mail.

7 goals in 19 games (167 minutes/goal) at 19 years old, 14th placed team in the 2nd tier of Italy. In comparison Sessegnon has 7 goals in 28 games (344 minutes/goal) at 17 years old, 8th placed team in the 2nd tier of England.

And sessegnon switches between LB and LW so how's that a good comparison?

There have been numerous articles written about him and North Korea over the last few months. All point to the same thing. You could also do some research in to how NK directs the wages from workers working outside the country. It’s not Daily Mail stuff.

Why is "if he was any good they would've kept him" or any other lines of reasoning like that (e.g. low cost/little game time/plays in a lower division = bad player) a good reason to dismiss him? Where was Kane at 19/20, how many goals did he score? If Edwards is so good why has he only had 1 game 18 months ago? How much first team football did Winks have at 19? Why has Onomah been given so little time? If Dele was so good how come he only went for £5m? If KdB/Mata/Matic were any good why would chelsea let them go? If Mahrez is so good why was he playing in the 2nd tier of France at 21/22? Why would he only go for £300k if he was quality? Can't be any good if you cost <£30m in this market......

I don't know how good he is as I've never watched him, but dismissing a 19 year old you've likely not seen play a match because they're on loan is very questionable.

We frequently hit insurmountable problems with player from 5 minutes up the road. Can't see any way we'd pursue this. Don't think there's even a commercial upside to this which is why we've signed players in the past. More to the point I'd see it as a political mine field best avoided.

Just not worth all the agro. Rightly or wrongly, it would be a terrible PR move at a time when we're trying to establish ourselves in the US market and exploring NFL links etc. etc. All of that would be damaged by any association with North Korea no matter how innocent. If he was going to be the next Messi or something then maybe it would be something to at least think about, but I highly doubt it. I'd wager there are plenty of equally talented players who don't come with all the baggage.

I doubt anybody would care quite frankly.

Completely disagree, especially in America. I'm not saying it's right, but I guarantee that even the slightest association with North Korea would not be received well by American companies.

This article lays out a lot of the reasons we shouldn't sign him, including the fact a chunk of his salary would be funding North Korea's military

Depressive read. "All of his wages belongs to the government", "Had to cancel an tv appereance on instructions from hencheman in his homeland".
No doubt that the boy got talent, but imo we're better off any political interference and local hencheman telling us what we can and can't do with our player..
