HSBC was considering a big rebranding exercise a in the UK a couple of years ago. They were thinking of resurrecting the old Midland Bank brand, or going even further back as the City of London and Midland Bank.

Sponsoring the best football stadium in London could be a good opportunity for a big rebrand?

I think if HSBC became our shirt sponsor on top our stadium sponsors I would probably not buy that seasons kit. It's not a brand I would particularly want to promote. I understand in this day and age money talks, and in football there is not much you can do about it, but I won't be forking out 50 quid to have HSBC on my shirt regardless of the badge. They are a pretty unethical bank, alongside a number of others granted. They are also known for there involvement in the arms trade, recently between palastine and Israel. Still, I guess it's better then being state owned like City.

Well if many don't want HSBC, I'm putting my hat in the ring and declaring I don't want Santander either.

Feckin £6.00 charge for dipping into overdraft for 6 days whilst awaiting payment.

£6.00 I tell ya.

Lol, when I worked for HSBC, it was £4.00 a day for businesses. Even if you were just over by a penny.

I'm very disappointed that no one has responded to my inspired suggestion that the stadium should be called:

"The Honkers and Shankers Stadium at White Hart Lane".

I think it's a real goer. Can we work out a song for it?

Don't think we should be worrying about the moral status of our sponsor too much. By the very nature of capitalism and the size of the deal the only Companies in that market will have a history of something that can be objected to.
Name one Bank, Insurance Company, Airline or major corporation that is absolutely clean. The sad truth is they wouldn't have multi-millions to throw at us if their concern was the greater human good.

Looked at the new video on THFC website with drone flying around the new stadium... it’s going to look amazing when complete! I just want to know what the seating plans are going to be!!! Would love to get my place in the South stand ( singing section)

Behave we haven't come up with an original song in years! Sing about it most of us won't even speak to a stranger stood next us, leave alone sing with him.

I thought one season at Wembley would force it upon people to come up with some and yet nada, zipp, zilch, no dice, not a fucking thing.

If Northerners haven't made a chant about it us Southerners can't pinch it!

It's why that stupid "you're shit" chant appeared (one too many visits to Leeds United)

Anyway David you hum it i'm sure they'll all join in (y)
