I understand the call for the dive, but it's a good example that VAR will have interpretations.

I agree but my point is it’s a hard one for VAR because the ref may argue that he’s gone down looking for it. That’s when it becomes subjective

They are supposed to. But they won't.
It depends on what you want from VAR. I don't think that was a 100% penalty, but it was probably more than 50/50. This is the problem with the laws of the game. There's a lot of grey area.

I would say closer to 99.9% a peno but I agree it seems it will only be used when the correct decision in blindingly obvious to all...which is a good thing I guess.
