Interestingly, Lucas didn't play for PSG in the CL this season (unused sub twice). Apparently he can play in the CL for us
Not sure about that though - apparently Aubameyang couldn't play for Arsenal in the EL even though Dortmund haven't played in the competition yet.

I am not sure about the rules. But Aubameyang DID play for Dortmund in CL this season. Lucas played 0 minutes though. I guess they are different cases related to different rules, but I could be wrong here

On the start, Lucas (PSG) interests Tottenham

Six months after recruiting Serge Aurier, the English club has initiated contacts to engage the services of the Brazilian striker PSG.

Negotiations had won an express London-Paris round trip to Daniel Levy. But last summer, the owner of Tottenham had achieved his ends by recruiting the Paris side Serge Aurier, for € 25 million . Will this link between PSG and Tottenham become stronger this winter as part of the Lucas dossier? The hypothesis is not to be neglected. While the Brazilian striker (25 years) was placed on a short-list at Manchester United and Italian media reported on Wednesday, a contact with Naples, he does not appear on the front line for the first time. moment, it arouses the interest of the Spurs. Mauricio Pochettino did not hide his desire to recruit an offensive element aside to intensify the competition. And so activated his tracks. Lucas is one of them.

Spurs would prefer a loan

Tottenham has taken steps in this direction in recent hours and its recent links with Parisian leaders could facilitate discussions. But with Daniel Levy, negotiations are never easy. The owner of Spurs would prefer a loan to attract the Brazilian. A solution far from satisfying the Parisians, in search of liquidity to enter the rules of financial fair play. The whole issue of the negotiations will be there: in the ability of the London club to match its offer with a fixed amount or a high purchase option.

Can the player be seduced by Tottenham? After moving to Nantes (1-0, Sunday), Lucas, appeared only six times this season (79 minutes), had, for the first time, publicly recorded his failure to PSG . The rookie - bought some 40 M € in 2013 - had not hidden his interest in the English Championship. The game practiced by the team of Mauricio Pochettino can be a significant argument. And Lucas knows it: at twenty-five, he must finally fly.

am guessing he is on a small fortune per week....can't imagine that we would finalize a transfer before locking down lots of current players AND then would have to assume he would need to sacrifice on wages....not sure about that

Apparently only EUR 80,000 pw (I say only compared to the rest of the PSG squad).

Cavani is on EUR 130,000 pw, which I thought would have been higher.

Can definitely see a deal happening as we want pace and have good relations with PSG after the Aurier deal. A loan would be a no brainer if there is nothing else on the radar.

Do feel like he's a whole lot of wasted potential though, a Brazilian Walcott if you will.

If we are shopping at PSG Rabiot should be top of our list.
He's started for them 17 times this season in the league and 6 in the CL. The days of him as a moody and frustrated youngster wanting a move away for first team minutes are long past.

All for this. Erratic but with regular game-time and proper coaching his could be a huge hit. Has that kind of pace that makes defenders back off as soon as he collects the ball. Also I'm just desperate for Spurs to have an exciting Brazilian forward for once in our history. Not even come close to having one ffs.

No idea what this means but I'm excited anyway :D
That looks to be a radar.

I thought the ITK from this summer was that he and Di Maria were offered, we thought Di Maria was too old/expensive/didn't like his attitude and thought Lucas wasn't good enough. Was that not the case or am I remembering it wrong?
