Walcott - 108 goals/assists in 270 league games isn't terrible - 0.4 per game

Lennon 80 in 342 - 0.23

Sissoko - 32 in 165 - 0.19

Defoe - 193 in 483 - 0.39 per game

He's meh, but I've paid to watch much worse.
I wonder how many of Walcott's goals are the 3rd in a 3-0 or in injury time at the end of the game. Goals you could say weren't crucial to the outcome of the game. Not sure where to find this, aside from looking at every game he scored in (don't do that), but if there is a high proportion of these goals and very few winning goals you could conclude that while those stats are true, they are also skewed.

There were a couple of seasons when Bojan scored 10-12 for Barca and people said he was showing promise but often they were at the end of games when the result was settled, and funnily enough he has never scored that many in a season again.

Really hoping Arsenal fans are being trolled by Wenger here.

Aubemeyang - "Not close"
Malcom - "unlikely "

Doesn't look like they will get either at this point let alone both. I still can't understand why they want PEA when Lacazette plays exactly the same role, that won't end well.

It looks like they'll get Mkhitaryan but if that's only because he's being forced there then that isn't a good situation for either party.

Sounds to me like Mkhitarayan is going for a hefty pay day, that won't end well.

I think it's crazy that such a talented player like him is being used as a makeweight in a deal, absolutely crazy.

Excellent, looks like Wenger has pissed off Dortmund, hopefully means they won't deal with him now...

Borussia Dortmund are furious with Arsene Wenger after he commented on a potential move for striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, reports Sky in Germany.

The Arsenal boss answered questions on the Gabon international, who has been tipped to replace Alexis Sanchez at the Emirates.

Wenger insisted the at times controversial Aubameyang would be suited to life at Arsenal, prompting an angry response from Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc.

“We think it is disrespectful to talk like this about a player from another team,” he said. “There’s no contact with Arsenal.

“We assume that Mr. Wenger has enough concerns with the performance of his own players.”

Kind of paints an inaccurate picture.

A lot of the teams adding are also suffering major subtractions. Liverpool losing Coutinho, Arsenal losing Sanchez etc.

Plus as others have already mentioned we go through this literally every summer window where everyone overrates the business done by rivals and without a bedding in period I really don't see all these moves resulting in any immediate fireworks.
Not to mention that we will get a lift when Toby returns. We have gotten a lift since Wanyama returned, Lamela has added another attacking option to the bench in the last month, Dembele is getting fit, and Winks will be back soon also. Ditto for Rose.

Nothing would please me more than to see Arsenal get dumped out of the Eurpoa by Dortmund.

Or any other team for that matter.

Keown - Sanchez 'biggest mercenary in football'

'Manchester City have wanted to sign Sanchez since the summer and, if no deal is done in January, they will be waiting for him at the end of the season.

'City would be the natural place for Sanchez to go to develop his football. He has worked with Pep Guardiola before.

'But for Sanchez, this is clearly not about going to the best team, working with Guardiola and taking his game to another level.

'He has probably thought that he will not get a better offer if he waits until the summer, so he might as well take the best deal on offer now. It has been all about the money.

'From Manchester United’s point of view, they had to blow City out of the water. Signing Sanchez takes them up a few notches when it comes to competing with their rivals.

'Ultimately, if we want to have a competitive league, City cannot have all the best players.'

Is fairness to Sanchez he it only looking for a piece of the pie that has all come about the likes of Liverpool etc paying over the odds for average players, he is a free agent so all he is looking for a bump up in wages.
Good love those united fans have to sign his name, for the £400k a wage.
This can only go on for so long before be switch off from the game they are watching because of these mad fees, and wages.

Sanchez isn't even all that, wouldn't swap Son for him and that's coming from the most unbiased **** on the planet. Arsenal are doing the better out of this deal (other than Sanchez himself), he's 30 this year isn't he?

Lacazette can play wider.

He can but that's not really playing to his strengths, I wouldn't be too pleased if I was bought in as the club's main striker only to be pushed out on the wing 6 months later with someone else coming in to take my place.

I don't think they'll gey Aubameyang, but if they did I'd imagine Lacazette would have to suck it up bearing in mind what he's produced so far for the Goons.

In a misfiring team in his first season he's done alright, I saw them play at the Vitality on Sunday and they don't really play to his strengths, obviously Ozil or Sanchez weren't playing but they've been in and out the team all season and he's scored what 8 goals, wouldn't say that's too bad tbh. Auba wouldn't have fared much better in that time, he's the same type of striker which is why I find the transfer ridiculous.

Sanchez has been poor lately but imo

Sanchez and Poch would be the perfect match

It would push to serious challenge the title. I know he doesnt play RW for arsenal but I think he would be perfect for us there
