He used to ballboy at Stamford Bridge, though it seems he was a QPR fan according to Wikipedia so who knows.

Ha I thought he was spurs to be honest. I had heard the qpr thing now you mention it.

Not exactly topical but I can't be the only one that thinks it's weird that Southampton have spent fuck all, even though they've just got £75m

Talk of Dzeko to Chelsea too now. I hope that doesn’t happen, he always seemed to score against us for City. A real thorn in our side.

They're losing their best player, you do realise that don't you?

Aubameyang will become their new best player, is probably as good as Sanchez, and Sanchez has been shit ever since he decided he wanted to leave, his loss currently is relative to his performances, which have been poor. Mkhitaryan is a quality player.

Aubameyang alone is an incredible signing for them - he's far too good for them to be honest. Amazed he's even willing to go there. They're significantly upgrading their squad with two top players and cash for one uninterested wantaway.

If you watched Arsenal's game last weekend against Bournemouth, you'd have to think they'll be busy this window because they have so much work to do to improve their first team, it's barely believable. Their decline is looking quite desperate now. I can't really see how they'd go through this window without spending quite a bit, just to get them through the end of the season. They really were that bad. And almost anyone you don't have to google [(c) D. Rose] would improve that front 4 (i.e. one without Sanchez & Ozil).

And the thing is, they are losing their best player who had a good deal of grit and determination - part of what makes him a really top player - and replacing him with Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan doesn't really get them a couple of lions back in.

So while they are good players and it'd improve Arsenal's outlook immeasurably, they'll be banking on them hitting the ground running and they still lack a bit of steel to compete at the very top end. They could come up smelling of Roses because a motivated Lacazette, Ozil, Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan is a pretty strong quartet. But there's a long way between here and there.

And yet, despite them being so awful and having apparently fallen so far, they're still 6th, and only 5 points behind us. They're significantly improving which suggests they'll be a very serious challenge to us this season.
