We paid 10m for a 17 year old championship player just over 10 years ago, bearing in mind the ridiculous money being spent on players now 20m isn't that bad.

It's the going rate for a talent such as Sessengon - would be very surprised if he goes for anything less than £30-35m...

We paid 5mil potentially rising to 10mil but we bought that out and paid an additional 2mil on top of the 5mil.
I'm not saying I'm against it just that the numbers are crazy.

The championship clubs must look at the Dele Alli deal and think they sell their young stars too cheaply. If they sell a <21 year old to a top club and he becomes a star he’ll be worth over £70M. Only makes sense they raise their prices. That said, I think a big % sell on clause provides better value to them.

I know, but I was talking about Championship clubs selling their best talent as we're talking about what sort of fee Fulham are realistically going to want for Sessegnon.

I honestly think, based on the amount I have seen him play, which is virtually nothing, that barring some massive injury, he'll very quickly be worth more than we pay for him, whatever that is.Sess deal not cheap at all. A lot of talking going on

Looks a massive prospect to be honest. Can't imagine it would be easy. Need to get Poch in with him again to sell him the bigger picture.
