I can’t see Sissoko leaving, Foyth definitely needs to be CL registered in case of emergency (imagine if Dier or Vertonghen had picked up an injury while all of Wanyama, Alderweireld and Sanchez were unavailable recently), and Lamela is taking Nkoudou’s spot I imagine. If there is fire behind this smoke I can only imagine that Gazzaniga will lose his CL spot and our third keeper in Europe will be a yoof.

Alternatively we could just be getting him for the summer.
How does his participation in Europa League affect his eligibility for CL? Wasn't sure if being cup-tied in one European Cup, included both European competitions.

Doing obligatory youtube clips research. His passing ability is surprisingly, really good vision. Very willing to pass forward and to try through balls

I watched about 70 min of his last match. Looked poor if I'm honest. Always wanted to dribble even when there was an easy pass on to continue a fast attack. Rarely completed his dribbles, didn't work back to defend. Worst thing for me was when he made a run and didn't get the pass, looked like he was in a grump for the next 10min. Maybe his head wasn't in the game or I don't know what I'm talking about. But his highlights show something to work with will be fun to watch.

The one-footed-ness was my main concern from the youtube clips, but that's a small sample size.

The upside here is he would come in initially as a supporting role (boosting an already strong attack) rather than being expected to completely transform our attack, which is surely a less pressurised scenario.

Even though he is left footed, I really like the fact that he seems willing (based on the videos) to go past players to his right with pace and play the ball in with his right. His first touch and first step also look to be very good.

If anyone thinks this guy will get time to develop due to only being 20 yrs old let me remind you about how 21 year old Dele Alli was being labelled as ‘overrated’ and needed to be sold on this very forum...

Considering Bordeaux are a bit of a mess and the kid has been strongly linked with 3 big PL clubs (inc negotiating with at least 2) all month I think it's understandable his head might not be right currently.

Just my instinct.

Davidson is extremely mature and very intelligent for his age and has an incredible 'Ledders-like' temperament.

I also think it's always more tricky for creatives as they have lots more pressure on them to produce 'magic'.

Prem is unique; it's a different proposition. Just think people need to hold back a little and give the boy room/space up-front instead of expecting him to instantly tear it up.

He's also extremely one footed from what I've seen and will get sussed quickly if he doesn't begin to add more scope.

I'm excited, but calm. Let me put it that way.
I would agree, he looks a prospect but very raw, you can see from his highlight real vs PSG earlier in the season that he still has a lot to learn but he certainly has the build and awareness for the PL. I think people would need to keep there expectations low at first so as not to put too much pressure on the kid. My issue with him is his dribbling ability, i feel we really need someone who is capable of moving past players into the final third with the ball at their feet but from what i have seen of Malcom he doesnt have that in his locker, or at least not to the extent i would hope for. Obviously, he is only 20 and could really develop a lot, but even so im not completely sold on him. Saying that i have only seen him in a small hand full of games so i am in no way an expert and could be wide of the mark, i am just very nervous when it comes to wing forwards from France and from what i have seen thus far hasn't convinced. Obviously, i would much rather Pulisic, but who knows how much he would cost. I know we had some ITK from Herc saying he is available at a manageable price and keen but who knows. Ether way, Malcom would still be an exciting buy regardless of any reservations one might have.
