I would agree, he looks a prospect but very raw, you can see from his highlight real vs PSG earlier in the season that he still has a lot to learn but he certainly has the build and awareness for the PL. I think people would need to keep there expectations low at first so as not to put too much pressure on the kid. My issue with him is his dribbling ability, i feel we really need someone who is capable of moving past players into the final third with the ball at their feet but from what i have seen of Malcom he doesnt have that in his locker, or at least not to the extent i would hope for. Obviously, he is only 20 and could really develop a lot, but even so im not completely sold on him. Saying that i have only seen him in a small hand full of games so i am in no way an expert and could be wide of the mark, i am just very nervous when it comes to wing forwards from France and from what i have seen thus far hasn't convinced. Obviously, i would much rather Pulisic, but who knows how much he would cost. I know we had some ITK from Herc saying he is available at a manageable price and keen but who knows. Ether way, Malcom would still be an exciting buy regardless of any reservations one might have.

Yes, Pulisic 100x over this kid. I'm biased, but he is on another level and with the US market we are looking at some nice coin.

That video reminds me of the kid we just sent on loan...the french one.

Hasn't poch got links with Bordeaux from his playing career? Thought I read about him having a fond time there.

Remember Herc saying about targets, 2 would be threatening the first team straight away, another not so much, would imagine Malcom falls into the second bracket?

Being reported by the Telegraph now too.

Tottenham favourites to sign Brazilian star Malcom from Bordeaux for £35m

Tottenham Hotspur have emerged as the favourites to sign the Brazilian winger Malcom from Bordeaux for an initial fee of around €40 million (£35.3m).

The 20 year-old was a transfer target this month for Arsenal, with Manchester United having also earlier expressed an interest, but it now appears his most likely destination is Spurs.

It is understood that Malcom’s representatives met with Spurs in London earlier this week to discuss the potential move. Malcom is set to remain at Bordeaux for the rest of this season, before joining Spurs in the summer.

No agreement has yet been formally reached but there is an expectation that a deal will be reached. Spurs are expected to pay €40m although that may increase by another €10m (£8.8m) with add-ons for the highly promising forward.

One video

Pulisic is probably going to cost £60m+, that's even if we get Dortmund talking.

I don't hold the purse strings, but I pay 60m plus wages for a product that is refined and only going to get better over a 40m WIP. The gulf in where they are now if huge IMO and that warrants the increase. In short Pulisic comes in and seriously challenges the front 3. Malcom comes in and challenges Lamela for the backup minutes. Plus you have to factor in the marketing pull.

I am not writing the kid off from one video either. I have watched a handful of Bordeaux games and other than a moment of brilliance with this cannon, I don't see much more than what GKN had in his locker. He is not as fast, he is completely left footed, and his work ethic leaves a lot to be desired. I hope he proves me wrong, but he is not a finished product and will take a lot of coaching to become a starter in our attack.

And for a one footed dribbler he can't even compare to ME. Either way, I think 40m can go elsewhere.

He is also a 20 year old of course he requires coaching.

If you can't see much more in his game than GKN then I'm really doubting you've seen much of him. He's a completely different player to GKN.
I love Pulisic but he's not the finished article either, he needs developing too. Think you're massively overestimating him if you think he's taking a starting spot off Eriksen, Dele or Son straight away.
Personally I think both of them will become stars if coached by Poch. But who's to say Dortmund want to sell, and if they did surely his price tag in current market would be 80-100m.
