Malcom v. Marseille - I like this better than the "Welcome to..." videos - shows a bit of the good and bad/inconstancies - still very much want - seems to be a Poch-type player, in that he is brave, and willing to try things even if they don't always come off. I think we need more of that, and less conservative play.

I know putting down potential signings doesn't go down well on here but judging from clips on youtube, he looks like a good player but not the type I'd be looking for. I hate saying this as I've wanted a winger for soooo long. Firstly, he looks incredibly one footed, this can be overcome but it's not ideal. Secondly, I would like a winger that sometimes plays off the last man a la Salah/ Zaha. Malcom seems to always pick the ball up deep and dribles into the centre, this may be a problem when teams have 11 men behind the ball and it can be incredibly congested. Thirdly, he looks pacy but not lighting.
Maybe someone who actually watches the French league can correct me but this was my first reaction to seeing his videos

If you can't see much more in his game than GKN then I'm really doubting you've seen much of him. He's a completely different player to GKN.
I love Pulisic but he's not the finished article either, he needs developing too. Think you're massively overestimating him if you think he's taking a starting spot off Eriksen, Dele or Son straight away.
Personally I think both of them will become stars if coached by Poch. But who's to say Dortmund want to sell, and if they did surely his price tag in current market would be 80-100m.

Maybe I have seen off games, but from what I have seen he hasn't wowed me by any stretch. I may be a bit harsh on the direct comparison of GKN, but I am not convinced.

This isn't the place to discuss the merits of Pulisic, but if he was in our squad he would be seriously threatening Dele's spot with the three rotating behind Kane. There was mention that he was approachable too.

I don't make the decisions and back the coaches and scouts as lord knows my arm chair analysis holds zero weight in the decision making process. If he comes I support him through the thick and thin.

He's an inside forward, we haven't played with wingers for years nor should we. Our wing backs provide the width.

I already posted this - but he does not look fast like Kyle Walker - but he looks like has an acceleration burst better than Walker, and anyone here.

I think he is ideal for how we want to play. Powerful shot - causes players to close him down, which opens up space for him to run past.

Well that was a bit fucking dull. And don't get me started on the music. Where the fuck's Bix Beiderbecke and The Bucktown Five?

Surely someone who drops off and beats a couple of players in tight spaces before threading a pass is exactly what we need against park the bus teams. A player playing off the last man against a team camped is not going to help things whatsoever. We've got them in Kane, Dele and Son already.

Similar reaction from me - his reliance on his left foot and the way that limits his play is concerning. Compare and contrast with (the younger) Pulisic. Not all that inspired by the vids, but hopefully third time's the charm with young wingers from the French league.

Not to pick you out specifically but a lot of people have made the comparison to the N’wingers. This isn’t a similar signing though. They were cheap gambles, and not being linked with other big sides really. Malcom has this window been at the centre of a media tug of war between United, Arsenal and Spurs, and we’re talking a fee of £35m rising to £44m. It’s quite simply not the same profile of signing at all. This is a kid who has been noticed by a lot of big clubs, and who also has a lot of caps for Brazil at youth level.

Poch is also said to be a big fan. Not sure the same could ever be said of Njie or N’koudou.
