Re Morata, he’s a talented player, quick, skillfull, athletic, he works hard too. I just don’t think he’s at his best down the middle, not in a one striker formation. Play him with a target man, or off the wing where he can have more control over the runs he makes (rather than basing them on where the ball is when playing down the middle) and he’ll look great.

He’s never been a 1 in 2, build your team around him centre forward.

Horses for courses, different strokes and all that.....

Looks like they're either trying to bump up their english quota or going for a specific back to goal striker. Every player linked is one of those, so the style of play they're going for isn't a secret, like a Wimbledon 2.0. Fuck em', they want Fernando, let Levy stitch them up, royally. I'd take RLC off them for a start.

For the hype and amount Morata arrives at, look at the misses he had and the performance. I'm surprise you guys are such forgiving to him.

It's only Spurs players that are allowed a season to settle and adjust to a new league then?

Unfortunately, nothing of that implication mentioned in this argument ;)

But TBH, for someone arriving from the likes of Juve and RM, the need to acclimatise in a league for a defending champion club is kinda an overstatement.

To be fair, massive **** he is, not many centre forwards are as good as bullying defences as Costa.

I guess Morata is a wee bit prettier but yeah for a Spaniard coming to England, which isn’t always an easy process and quite risky, he’s got a few goals for them.

Not sure why Bat-dude doesn’t get more chances either.

Morata is a class act he is selfless, works hard for the team, good passer of the ball as well and has some brilliant movement. However, he never has been a particularly good goalscorer. He has only scored more than 10 goals in the league in one season, at real madrid. This season in goal scoring terms has been a success, but he was also a success at Juve, not for his goals but for all the other things he offers.

I wish I could get top jobs due to my popularity rather then my lack of ability

He's quite clearly got ability given that he's had a highly decorated career at some of the biggest clubs in the world. He hasn't been great for us but that's not really his fault. He's only really played sporadic cameo appearances so hasn't had a chance to settle properly and even when he does play, we inexplicably seem to refuse to play to his strengths.

I assume because they are desperate for an aeriel threat without having to spend much money.

Levy is not going to sell any of our players, especially to Chelsea, on the cheap. If Chelsea thinks that they can get Llorente at a discount then they’ve got another thing coming.

It wasn’t that long ago that many of us were creaming for Morata to come to Tottenham.

Morata is not shit, he just isn't Kane :)

He will be at big clubs for the next 5+ years because he finds the back of the net and is quite creative making his runs on the shoulders of defenders. His feet are failing him currently, but when he gets his confidence back he will be right behind Kane for the top honors.

That is all dependent on Chelsea remaining the side they are. The ebbs and flows they have been going through in the past couple years has been quite entertaining and seems drama in the front office will continue to bring uncertain times. In a couple years we will be the team of London and I am loving it.

There was something in the air that night
The stars were bright, Fernando
They were shining there for you and me
For liberty, Fernando
Though I never thought that we could lose
There's no regret
If I had to do the same again
I would, my friend, Fernando
If I had to do the same again
I would, my friend, Fernando

This was as shambolic a transfer as they come. I was really curious to see how we'd use Llorente. I truly thought he'd represent the possibility for playing with a dimension that we couldn't have done without him. That he brought something different. Then it turns out, the plan was never to try anything different with him on the pitch at all. It was all such a waste, and not for lack of ability in the player. I'll remember him for his slick one-touch skills and for never having been properly utilised.
