Why call him back and then loan him to Ipswich, was he so depressed playing for Sheffield United?

Didn't they send him back because they signed some other CB from Southend? Doesn't help that he was Khumalo-esque for them in the end.

Yes, you're most probably right about them not wanting to sell Foden to Spurs or any other EPL rival. Just like what happened to Jadon Sancho.

City didn't want to sell Sancho he chose not to sign his contract. And even then they made his life difficult which meant he had to go abroad if he wanted to play any games

City bastards. Sad times.

Let's focus on bringing through our own talent first. Sancho hadn't made a single league appearance before joining Dortmund it would have been at least a year before we might have seen him feature. Either way Edwards at the same age was considered on that level and is sill a comparable talent, and he's one we don't have to buy. If Edwards ever plays over 500mins of PL football for us, I'd bet he'd be worth 50m within a year or two.

I'm sure you've all read this already but for those of you who haven't. Poch is asked about da Yoof at a presser by an ESPN journo. This is what he had to say...

Didn't see before, just did now, so thanks for posting. Same ole same ole. Can't integrate our best talents now as we're too good. They need to be the finished article, the signings we make should be given time. We will keep chasing World Class players and rarely find them but show little faith in our academy that has actually produced them at a better rate. And somehow Chelsea get criticised for this, all the while they actually win the league.

Sounds like he's set himself up to be defended for next season also. God I hope I'm wrong though

Strange news Hinds and Griffiths are both leaving this summer, their attitudes must be absolute trash

Griffiths and Hinds are leaving, save this interview

don't know who this guy is and hopefully he's wrong(it's a pretty random/specific thing to just come out with though?) but i'd also heard from someone reliable in the summer that reo wasn't happy and that he wanted out, i didn't really think much of it at the time but now i'm wondering if there really is something in it. not heard anything about hinds though.

on the plus side though at least it seems like he now recognises that they need to be playing football rather than just being full-time trainers until their early-mid twenties.

Don't know why their attitudes must be trash. Tbf to Hinds I would leave if I was him, he is a very talented player but we already have KWP struggling for chances. Then if we bring Steven Sessegnon in he will automatically go ahead as he has played Championship football and we've signed him.

I'd want him to stay as I think he has real ability and potential but might be a good decision.

Griffiths. I don't mind either way, I like him but I don't think I'm as high on him as others, though he is definitely improving. He came into the striker game late and there is more to come but he isn't a natural and I think it is telling that Richards has come in and started banging instantly. Again I would much rather keep Griffiths as there is a lot to like and he fact he is so new to the position means it is hard to gauge how good he could become. From what I saw of Richards at u16s and it has confirmed so far this season he is a lot more intelligent and knows how to play that role, and has a lot about him.
