not for this thread so all I will say about your reply is Jansen only scored for fun for half a season. Fazio is mega slow when we were looking to play 3 at the back and anyone with eyes can make a judgement on sissoko. Even when he played well for France his efforts never actually led to a goal.

also it’s got nothing to do with losing money!! It’s about strengthening the squad at the right time with the right players. So we as a team improve.

Is it a stretch to think that he quoted the word 'may' (IE the month the season ends) on purpose? seems awfully specific

I think given the position we are in, in the league its worth worryingly going for it in the league for the cash injection 4th would get us.
leaving it late in the window means others can't respond in time.
by worryingly i mean its so unlevy like.

Assuming both were for the summer rather than now, it does tie in with other ITK.

I'm resigned to us not getting anyone in to help our run in this season (squad is strong but would have liked a new attacking option IMHO).

I like the idea of us doing deals now for the summer rather than waiting.

I think the big time player has to be someone who plays a similar role to Barkley. Can't see us going for two players in attacking positions and Herc said previously that we had a new target who played similar position to Barkley. It's also the only position i can think of needing strengthening. Very interesting update.

Just cos we want to do a deal doesn’t mean it’s gonna happen, plenty of things stop it. We wanted keita balde in the summer JJ thought it was virtually done only for it to fall through. There really is no point in getting our hopes up, just appreciate things when they’re completed

Thanks for all the info on Malcom. Just goes to show that so much skullduggery must go on with signing and selling players nowadays. Let's hope we can get it over the line.
