The way some people belittle the achievements of Dele Alli is laughable really , at his age currently on the market he’d be in the transfer valuation of Demeble at Barcelona. We certainly wouldn’t be able to buy Dele Alli right now

This always seems to be a red herring for me.

Stoke have the most players who have won the Champions League in the PL. does it help them?
Really? Come on, I also qualified this as winners or influential players for their teams in their competitions. I’m not sure most of these particular Stoke players helped with this tbh. Anyway, I know in my own head what I mean :cautious:. I think.

Nantes are very defensive, pretty much two lines of 5 when not in possession. So far Malcom has hardly touched the ball and when he has maybe is a little culpable of overpaying and loosing the ball. Bordeaux just scored tho so hopefully more space will open up. Malcom wasn't involved in the goal. Worth noting this game has been a mess so far.

He just picked up the ball in the centre drove at the centre of defence and timed a pass to the striker who missed.

It's because he's made it look so easy...

Doesn't sound outrageously uplifting does it.

He does remind me of Dele a bit, he works best with space to move in. I think people who expect him to be the type of player to unlock a defence with his dribbling will be greatly disappointed. His passing and shooting are his strong points, not his ability to go past players. Be interesting second half as towards the end of the first he was almost a second striker at times. Feels like he has been given somewhat of a free role.

He's just burst through the middle again, showing the awareness and patience to time the pass into the attacker who made a run on the left, who shot and missed. Imagine him teeing that up for Sonny.

Much better the second half, having more time and space on the ball is allowing him to show his best sides.

Yeah he's getting involved much more. Nice one-two finished with a curling shot that the keeper pushed away.
This might sound odd, but it's good to see him getting fouled a lot when he has the ball at his feet. Means he is doing something right. Still reminding me a lot of Dele.. Which is not a bad thing although maybe a little frustrating at times.

He'll win a lot of penalties I think. I reckon he'll surprise a lot of defences.

He could be a very good player with the right coaching. He's still very raw but clearly has the potential. I just hope our fans don't expect him to be something he's not. He's not a hazard type that some fans seem to think he is, but that doesn't mean what he could be is any less, just different. He will take time though and could do with rest of the season starting week in week out.

A bit like Lamela came in as Bale's replacement and people thought he was the type to speed through defences and strike from distance, whereas in reality he's more of a playmaker.

All i care about is if we end up signing malcom just like when we signed davinson we pursuited an extremely talented international talent playing at a very strong level with a massive potential. I know it's not what everybody wants, but it's what is best for the club atm and shows great ambition to the squad and us fans.

He's more like Robben, I think, we don't need him to be like Hazard. He can certainly dribble and take players out of the game though.

great comparison, and Imo thats exactly what we need in the squad more players that can play the final pass for the likes of Kane, Alli and Son to finish.

Plus I think he's more naturally athletic than Eriksen so it should be harder for him to be marked out of big games.
