Really interested to see how he does.

He did an excellent job with Colchester and Norwich.

Then he made the ridiculous decision to take over Villa. A big club with demanding fans but massive financial mismanagement for over a decade resulting in an ageing squadand no money.

He then took over Blackburn, another club run ridiculously badly.

No idea what happened at Wolves but interested to see how he does with a Prem club again.
The decision was made as part of a coaching restructure by Wolves' Chinese owners Fosun following an end-of-season football review.

In short, he didn't do awfully but Jorge Mendes had lined up Nuno to take over. They were looking well in the shit under Zenga but in seven months he took them up to 15th and they beat Stoke and Liverpool in the cup so it would be harsh to call his time there a complete failure. Villa and Blackburn were obviously failures but no manager's reputation is harmed much if they fail there - they're such shithouses that everyone does.

I think Stoke have seen that he did pretty well at Norwich and more or less ignored that he's since then managed two shithouses and a Wolves where he was replaced by a manager the board/agent in command were always going to hire eventually.

Obviously they must think his head has totally gone and no focus on the job. They are on a pretty bad run of form now also after the decent start. This looks worse on him than the club I'd say.

Watford turned down £9m from Everton and are now rumoured to be paying £6m to Silva to leave. Crazy money. My brother is livid as stuck with Fat Sam now

Fuck Marco Silva.

"Will you be going to Everton?"
"No."

That's what he should have done, but signally didn't. He played footsies with the press for days about it, wilfully declining to give a straight answer. Incredibly disrespectful and immature.

This is especially so because it was only a few months after he was appointed at Watford, which itself was rather lucky given he'd gotten relegated with Hull. People say he did a good job at Hull. Well, at the start he did...but he ended up getting relegated nonetheless. Was fortunate to get the Watford job after that IMO, and then thought he was Billy Big Bollocks and could get cute the first time a better job came along. Total dick behaviour. If I were on the Watford board - and yes, they're nutcases - I'd have lost faith & trust in him on the spot.

All his own fault. Results dropped off a cliff after that. Fuck him. Got what he deserved.

To be fair Hull were all but relegated when he took over. He at least gave them a slight chance of staying up.

Merson, Thompson and Nicholas are probably all having a mass self congratulatory circle jerk right now.

To be fair, watford is a poison chalice club. Job’s a poison pill and always the wrong club for him. He was always going to be sacked in the summer. Even getting CL wouldnt have done it. The results fell off so they sacked him now. He’ll be at Saints shortly. Which is where he should have been at the start but he took Watford before Saints made the awful decision to sack Puel.

Watford are mental! They should of took the money that Everton were offering for him 2 months ago!

Why would they let a manager go just a few months after appointing him and midway through the season? They weren't to know the impact it was going to have on their season. The manager had a contract and should have said that he was committed to Watford. He's just made himself look incredibly mercenary with his attitude to the Everton job.

Because I think Everton were offering very good money for him. I think a lot of the Sliva hype is just that, hype. For the money they were being offered I that Watford could have got someone reasonable in.

Just my onions of course.
