Something I still can’t reconcile in my mind!

Plenty of people who watched before he joined us gave him glowing reports but I've rarely seen seen such a can't be arsed attitude as the one he had when he played here, being sent to CHina was probably the kick up the backside needed that made him realise it was now or never to make something more of his career.

I hear so many Spurs fans question his attitude but I dont find any problem with his attitude. He was made scape goat because of one stupid freekick. He is a very good professional and I think Spurs fans should just let it go if they cannot admit being wrong about him. Its looking very silly.

He clearly was suffering from a loss if confidence. The club have to accept a proportion of the blame too.

Not really his thread but i'll answer anyway. Maybe attitude was the wrong word but very early on(way before the freekick incident) I think he wasn't that happy here and it reflected in his play, he was hiding from the ball and when he did have it he wasn't looking forward with it. It was maybe just the wrong club at the wrong time for him.

But those fans were not wrong about him, he was awful for us, hiding from the ball, making only safe decisions and struggling to execute the simplest of tasks much of the time. That doesn't mean he's not improved since, nor does it mean that there's no use for him as a far better club than us has clearly found one, it just means that for us he was poor.

He clearly was suffering from a loss if confidence. The club have to accept a proportion of the blame too.

Loss of confidence may well have contributed to what I've said above, but he played constantly during his first season and started his second season in the first team fold once he overcame his injury, he had every opportunity to play his way back into confidence and a better player would have.

This is probably closest to the truth.

Really? we must be watching different games then. The same shite about attitude was also thrown at vertonghen at that time. Its just excuses made to vent anger.

Moves the ball to his left a lot like Dembele does. Might be one footed but looks like a tough player to take the ball from. Great sign he gets fouled a lot too. Just too quick for others with the ball at his feet.

I can see the similarity but he's even more like Willian in that respect. Willian's one and only trick is to shift that ball using the outside of his left and it works 99% of the time.

Malcolm might not have utterly searing pace but his acceleration seems to be immense, which is very important.

Malcolm on the counter attack is a sight that would worry PL teams. We score alot of counter attacking goals from opposition corners. Malcolm el speedy Gonzales

Yeah I'd say he looks more dynamic than all of our attackers and similar to Son, which isn't a bad thing!

I'm pretty sure all Wimpys were shut down in 1997. If your still visiting one the likelihood is your dead and in purgatory but don't realise it. If you pop in before going to Blockbuster to get a VHS then it's an open and shut case

Willian is right footed.
