I'm a big Lamela fan, but he's only just back from a long time out, probably has had quite a few minor muscle tears after playing again. Completely understand Sissoko, given that context.

Think the frustration is really about squad depth.

Surely West Ham was a lesson. How on Earth you can pick sissoko over Lamela is staggering. If this goes tits up will add to a long list of Poch **** ups this season. Will be fuming.

It's not like anyone has called him a wanker or anything like that? People are just saying they can't believe he's starting over Lamela which I agree with.

Everyone just remembers the one pass he flubbed straight out of play and uses that as a channel for their frustrations from that game.

In Poch's interview down in the states, he said multiple players had issues with flu this week. Did not same who even some playing may not be 100%. Guessing that Porch is playing his best team given players available and fitness levels.

Very surprised we have Sissoko instead of Lamela. Considering Lamela is the only other player we have that can rival Eriksen for creativity and intelligence. I predict a very frustrating performance devoid of ideas. Unless we somehow manage to get an early goal and they have to come out and attacking us

I'm perfectly happy with Sissoko starting and Lamela on the bench. I don't think Sissoko is as bad as people make out and I think Lamela would the better of the 2 if we need an impact from the bench.

Poch informing Sky that there is a virus affecting the squad, including those in the matchday squad today.. i will just comfort myself by believing that Sissoko has not been hit by the bug and Lamela is, hence his inclusion..
