Lamela showing why he wasn't picked ahead of Sissoko.

I'm worried he isn't getting back up to speed very quickly. Understandable perhaps but it doesn't help us overall. We have a great front 4 but if anyone of them are out our options look very poor at the moment.
All the Lamela talk in the build up he is a very limited player gone soon I suspect.

Can't help but think more than just two players were affected by that virus.

Nobody bar Verts seemed like themselves.

Kane looked leggy, Ali erratic - everyone seemed stuck in 2nd gear.

Win two out of the next 3 and not lose and we'll be in good shape for the spring.

Let's not shoot ourselves just yet. The team still haven't clicked yet this season for me. They've got another gear to go up into, but they'll have to shift those gears starting in 10 days time.

did someone turn the clock back 20 years, our worst performance in passing and controlling the ball I can remember for a very long time.

can only blame the weather and lack of Eriksen

One a piece then.

I see the usual lot are in 50 pages plus when we don't win.

Christ on a bike it's funny though.

Shocking result, utterly shit, 100% on Poch, he really does need to sort this bullshit out because our results against the bottom sides have not been good enough and it’s mostly because of his own tactical decisions and inability to change the game from the bench.

Plus his insistence on playing Sissoko is baffling to me.

Absolutely no control at any point in the game. Son in particular played as if he also had the same sickness bug as Eriksen and Lloris. We were wasteful in attack and far too easy to get at when we didn't have possession.

A really poor game all round.

Could of easily got the points if we would have released the ball sooner, the whole midfield were guilty. So stupid.

I don't think I've ever seen a team as average at Southampton boss our midfield as much as today. We had zero control of the game until the final 20 mins when they sank deeper.

We have no chance at top 4. We do not have the quality. Normal order has been restored in the PL

Our attacking options just lack basic technique at times, with terrible decision making. Dele is stealing a living most of the time this season. A complete hindrance today.

Sissoko is just a terrible footballer. Outside of Kane on that pitch today, our best passers of a football were Davies and Vertonghen. A left back and a centre half! Sobering really

1. Dier is a center back and should not be played in midfield - at least not when wanyama and dembele is fit
2. Sissoko is not good enough for this team and never will be.
3. Poch needs to sort out he's ingame tactics.
4. We need wing-backs that are able to at least TRY to get past players in addition to be able to make a simple cross.
