Lamela getting a lot of flack but did anyine seriously expect him to get everyone around him to go up a gear when he came on? Awful performances all over the pitch and it was a collective loss. My God we miss Eriksen, (and Harry Winks) when we need a bit of crisp passing. Looked like the whole team were ill.

It was bad from poch today. He does have his complete shockers every now and then.

Unnecessary drop of two points. Avoidable.

What’s worrying is not only is it becoming more frequent but he isn’t learning from his mistakes either.

I agree with you about the two points, not the first time this season either, everyone else around us are finding ways to win, even United who are piss poor quite frankly.

On the bright side I just had a lovely bowl of home made rhubarb crumble & custard. Its not all bad.
To be quite honest, your crumble is the least of our concerns, can't you see what's going on before your very eyes?! Spurs are so bad that it's leading the usual handful of posters to question everything about our season ...

The unmitigated horror that is occurring ... Do something, before it's to late for all of us ...

But we cant play our preferred starting 11 in every game can we?, like today.
Resources are extremely relevant when you look at the bench and who we could bring on.

You shouldn't require to constantly win games from the bench. Yes the squad needs improvement obviously. If the seasons ends up how it's looking then points wise and position wise in my honest opinion we've underachieved considering the quality of our side.

Dier must have some extremely compromising photos of pochettino, because no matter what he’s in the team week after week, he offers fuck all, Wanyama done more in his 10 minutes (bar his stupid shot at the end) than Dier done all game.
OR he’s a very vital player and character as part of our squad, Wanyama has been our for a long period and Dise has to fill in at CB, Poch has then recently given Dier a run in his preferred CDM role where he’s done fine, careful balance to be had as Dier is strongly wanted by a man.u and others, if Poch benched him today that could be the straw that breaks the camels back and he’s not the kind of player we want to be losing. We have a heavy run of fixtures coming up and I expect at that point Poch will rotate between Dier Wanyama and Dembele but the last few games it’s been important to keep starting Dier.

You need to understand decisions a manager makes are not just for the short term but also Long-term morale of each player and the squad. Fine balancing act.
Another reason why sissoko gets a lot of game time is because of his relationship with aurier who is our shiny new RB, sissoko prettt much translates for him and links up well with him so again that helps team chemistry.

Ok?

So, who would you have picked?

Lamela, the tea lady, the ghost of WHL. Basically anyone other than that poor excuse for a footballer. I’m staggered and fucking angry that he gets games and hasn’t been sold to a championship level club, which is where he belongs. It’s not like he’s in a bad patch, this season has been his peak and it’s utter utter rubbish. He offers nothing other than running around and a sideways pass. I’m sure he’s a nice guy but he shouldn’t be anywhere near a team in the top half of the Prem, let alone one fighting (and failing) for top 4. I was prepared to give him a chance at the beginning of the season when he showed lots of effort. He could be the fittest man on earth and it wouldn’t change the fact he is a taltenless lump. Get him out of our club!!

No kneejeeking here tottaly calm
We got 1 point more than we deserved
The decision to not play Lamela in Eriksen's place is baffling
Worst player on the park for me was dier most of our passing today was abjectly poor
Front 3 never got going at all
Lucky point for us play like that against Utd we get tonked play like that against the dippers it will be a cricket score for them simple as.

May get caned on the ratings but I don't think Sissoko played that bad today. Would have swapped him for lamela and not son but at the end he was one of the players who actually had energy left and was trying to drive on.

You mean you are reporting the game as it actually played out rather than the self-fulfilling bollocks spewed out by people who have taken a position and have to create fantasies rather than admit they might b wrong? :D

FWIW I would have started Wanyama over Sissoko and played 3 at the back but hindsight and all that.

As poor as Dembele and Son were it is astounding that they were sacrificed ahead of Dier and Alli. Both of whom stunk the joint out. Whenever it rains, both should be benched.

Poch has his favourites.

Sometimes when you’re missing your most creative player, the opposition are bang up for it and the weather and pitch are shit and you’ve scored an own goal early on then if you’re level after 60/70 minutes you absoloutely need your bench and squad fact is we dont have enough depth in the attacking areas it’s been the case for 3 years now.

The thing about poch is there's a little bit of ego about something like this.

He doesn't want to admit he got it wrong up front and do an early change (at least, that's my strong suspicion).

This is where he differs in a couple of key areas from someone like Maureen who is ruthless - with his team and with himself.

He will change things super early if it's not working and he will drop players if they aren't functioning as they should over a period.

I really hope he quickly picks up these two key traits.

We fight, it was difficult, everyone battle blah blah
Did you expect something else?

Maybe a small tape recorder with 'Ride of the Valkyries' playing in the background while he tore a strip off the nine players who failed to live up to SC's high expectations? Or the Two subs which everyone whined to be brought on only for them to whine when they also failed to live up to the expectation?

Maybe you just wanted to hear something else ... Either way, it's been a tough day, hasn't it?

:)

Performance simply not good enough and Alli is going quietly backwards in form, falling over far too easily and looking for a foul....does himself no favours with the referees. We just don't ever seem to have a 'slightly bad day at the office' and scrape a win...it's always bad or brilliant lately.

Lamela played worse than sissoko when he came on today so why are people still saying poch made the cardinal sin by not starting him?

Pull your head out of your arse. Sissoko was abysmal.

He did nothing for 90 minutes. They raped us down his flank and he contributed zilch offensively.

Lamela was poor but at least he showed for the ball. I’d wager that given 90 and not 20, he’d have more to show for it than old concrete boots.
