Pull your head out of your arse. Sissoko was abysmal.

He did nothing for 90 minutes. They raped us down his flank and he contributed zilch offensively.

Lamela was poor but at least he showed for the ball. I’d wager that given 90 and not 20, he’d have more to show for it than old concrete boots.

He did exactly what he was told to do. I thought he performed his job really well today, I just have no fucking clue what his job is and what on earth the point of it is. It was exactly the same performance he always puts in and I fully expect him to start more games because he's seemingly doing exactly what Poch wants from him. I'm giving him an 8/10.

The worry is we have some huge games coming up, we could be 7-8 points behind 4th in 5 weeks time and out of the champions league as well.
We're now also jumping ahead to be out of the champions league based on a draw to Southampton ...

Well there it is.

I think we can draw a line under everything now.

Lamela getting a lot of flack but did anyine seriously expect him to get everyone around him to go up a gear when he came on? Awful performances all over the pitch and it was a collective loss. My God we miss Eriksen, (and Harry Winks) when we need a bit of crisp passing. Looked like the whole team were ill.
I think its the sheer number of people melting down about his exclusion in the starting line up. He tries hard but is quite a limited player and just slowed play down. Definitely not the messiah.

We were lucky to get a point really - horrendous performance by some players. A huge dent in our top four hopes as well.

Today shows just how much we need a new CM who can pass and a winger who runs at a defences, especial when Son is having a bad day.
THIS 100%.
We had an off day but poch can only work with what he has got and we so need what your said, luckily being linked with Malcom/Marhez and Barkley/Gomes it seems like we do at least recognise this.

OR he’s a very vital player and character as part of our squad, Wanyama has been our for a long period and Dise has to fill in at CB, Poch has then recently given Dier a run in his preferred CDM role where he’s done fine, careful balance to be had as Dier is strongly wanted by a man.u and others, if Poch benched him today that could be the straw that breaks the camels back and he’s not the kind of player we want to be losing. We have a heavy run of fixtures coming up and I expect at that point Poch will rotate between Dier Wanyama and Dembele but the last few games it’s been important to keep starting Dier.

You need to understand decisions a manager makes are not just for the short term but also Long-term morale of each player and the squad. Fine balancing act.
Another reason why sissoko gets a lot of game time is because of his relationship with aurier who is our shiny new RB, sissoko prettt much translates for him and links up well with him so again that helps team chemistry.

Ok?
Yes ive taken that all in to account before posted what i posted and i still stand by what i said. Dier is an extremely limited midfield player and should of been dropped for Wanyama, the amount of passes Dier mis places is just ridiculous, he’s not good enough on the ball to play in midfield for us.

Ok?

I was in the game and I could tell you none of our players apart from Aurier was willing to pass the ball to Sissoko. We were playing like 10 men for the whole fucking 95 mins. When eriksen is not available, play 3 at the back. Wanyama and dembele in the middle ffs. Sad it's Poch again who fucked up the team selection today

Think we now need 7 points from the next 3 games if we're going to be in a good position for top 4.

Lose any of those games and it's going to be very tricky.

That was painful to watch. Need some huge performances in the next 3 PL games or else top 4 could be over in February. They have to go out to kill Utd next game.

This also showed the need for attacking reinforcements this window.

There were some excuses today, and some questionable moves by Poch but we had enough quality to overcome that. Poor poor result.

Lol OK? ;)

Fair enough mate seems like our opinions differ so you’d be happy for us to sell Dier then it seems, shame as we’d lose more than just a player. He’s a winner a good character and key part in keeping dele happy wouldn’t be a good move to piss him off IMO.

Why every time we drop points do I have to read this shit?!

Chelsea couldn’t score for 3 games up until yesterday, who’s to say that won’t happen again ffs? Liverpool and Man U have lost points to lower teams as well.

There is so much football to be played. But still I have to read this over-reactionary bollocks whenever we don’t blow away the opposition. It really is tiresome.

The joke of the situation is if we win the next 5 on the bounce you’ll get temporary amnesia and jump on the hype train again. I just don’t get why fans like you have go in to panic mode so easily. If you have watched football for more than half a season you should know how things can change so quickly. But no you rather just subject us to your shit ffs

Don't think it's an overreaction - just the current state of play, we needed them to go on poor runs to get within touching distance. It might well happen again, but we have dropped points much more readily than the others - hence out current league position. We are giving ourselves a big job and should rightly be considered outsiders - I'm not panicking in any way just calling it how I see it.

What’s worrying me is that it seems we have regressed in so many areas this season.

Everyone was saying how we had “hit form” again but I think the last few results (other than Everton who were shocking) have flattered us.

Today we witnessed what we have been witnessing most of the season, poor management paired with lacklustre application from the players.

I am betting money right now that not only will we not finish in the top 4 but we will also end the season without a trophy.

Makes me wonder if we have hit a brick wall with Poch and the only way over it will be to buy players that will improve us for significant money which I can’t see happening.

Obviously hope I am wrong and that this all turns out to just be a lacklustre season and nothing more and next season we will be back to our best.

But I just have that nagging feeling in my gut...

It’s all a bit ott as always after such a poor performance, but I am starting to worry about the ceiling being hit under Poch.

He absolutely refuses to bring in attacking players who are technically sound. Son is incredible at times, as Dele was last couple of seasons ( certainly not this season though unfortunately ) but we need another on the same sort of level as Eriksen when it comes to basic control and ability to pass the ball.
Dembele is showing serious signs of wear and tear and Wanyama being injured hasn’t helped, but we are crying out for a player or two with real creativity and technical ability.

I get the feeling that Poch might just be a bit of a ‘Klopp opposite’ when it comes to building a side perhaps? Klopp struggles to build sides who can defend properly but has a flair for creating teams full of technically sound attackers who can create chances at will. We look completely toothless at times.

If Kane got injured, we’d drop down the league sharpish.

You know the last chance we had, you did see Sissoko in the build up, didn't you? Oh, and the chance for Lamela, who made the pass? Honestly, the word hate doesn't describe my feelings towards you.

We are missing Winks desperately. His control of the ball in the middle can't be underestimated.
True, and add to that Dembele's injury's/indifferent form, the complete non-event that is Sissoko I think we should be looking to add one more CM. But it needs to be a player that we see coming in and improving the first 11 ASAP, not squad filler.
