This result just confirms that we don't have players of sufficient quality, on the bench, to cover for first teamers who are ill, injured, suspended or out of form.

I don’t see you the correlation in me calling Sissoko out for being shit and my home life - but it’s fine thanks.

I’d say you’re just a prick. How about join in with the topic instead of coming in with some bullshit personal stuff trying to get funny ratings.

You think Sissoko is good?

You can't be serious?

You can't cry about someone making a "personal joke" when I've just seen you personally attack everyone who's disagrees with you about sissoko, that's what my post was in response to

So what *does* he do in the 4-2-3-1? Genuine question, because I can't work it out.

Not a lot :D

In all seriousness usually he's in CM in that formation and its a very negative role basically to provide cover so the front 4 and full backs can attack. When he's part of the front 4 that's when it gets very frustrating because he's still got the brakes on - when he gets on his bike and goes at people at least he's dangerous.

It's very frustrating and clearly we could do better - but the vitriol and hate is just nonsense. He was in our top 4 players today. A lot of that is because he's not expected to do what Son, Alli et all are expected to contribute - but he was solid today. Better than Dier and Dembele.

But we need better.

OK it's getting beyond a bit of banter now so it'll probably be for the best if we all wind it in a little bit

I'll leave you with a song

'soko 'soko

'soko 'soko

Born is the king of white hart lane

We don’t have a linker without Eriksen or Winks, to bridge the sea that exists between our midfield and forward line, when they are out. Seriously, promote a passer from the youth team. We wouldn’t have done any worse today...

That’s what gets to me with POCH I’m fucked with hearing from him “I’m happy with the squad I’m calm, if we think someone will make us better we will look at this” fuck me your telling me you cannot get anyone better the Shitokko. We have not got the strength in depth so how the fuck can you be happy. We are regressing can you and the bald twat not see that we need players!!!!

More shit and no actual substance. You’re not even hilarious.

What substance have you come up with? Sissoko is shit, he’s awful, all his fault blah blah fucking blah.
Sissoko adds pace, strength, stamina and pochettino clearly thinks he has a role to play in our squad but old davo99 who has played football manager a few times thinks he knows better than our best manager in the last 35 years

So do you have an opinion or not? I suppose you don’t even have to share one - you’re just here to be funny, right?

Let's be honest he plays in a Sissoko created right hand sided CM role. Poch has created this role because he's so limited a footballer he can't perform as a CM, a CAM or an inverted winger for a top 4 team. Proof of this is all the games he doesn't start, none of Son, Dele or Eriksen operate in this bizarre role. You could forgive it in the past when he was only option but we could have started Lamela, adapted formation and started Wanyama or even Llorente.

Wouldn't have made difference today as we were woeful (others performed worse than him), but we'll see him start PL games again as I genuinely think Poch is happy with what he's seeing from him even if it affects our football.

Right, so it’s just me who thinks Sissoko is useless is it? And managers are never wrong?

Was a horrible much, but a typical match and performance from us without Eriksen. We always lose any sort of fluidity or good cohesion when he doesn't play. I think the lack of quality in the squad really shows and that's with an almost fit team. I know we still had players missing, Toby, Winks and Lloris as well as Eriksen but one of them is a keeper in which we had no problem with the replacement today and the other in Winks maybe wouldn't start.
Other than Lamela we had no one to potentially change the game. I still would have used Llorente in the end personally but that wouldn't have been with the belief that he would do enough it would more so be in the hope that it would just change anything as we were that bad.

I was annoyed that Sissoko started and with the way we set out the performance shouldn't be so much of a surprise but there were worse perfumers out there. Alli was just bloody awful, back to overdoing things and not keeping it simple. It's matches like these that make you think he's a long long way off the likes of Barca and Madrid. To be honest everyone was poor other than maybe Vorm, Vertonghen and Davies.

Anyway, we dropped points and the race for top 4 doesn't look great. I haven't looked at the table but despite this setback, even had we won I think we would have needed to win 2 of the 3 next tough matches so it's all about how we perform in those. The 2 at home we should win, it's time to show that we are up there with best and start making some statements.

Without trying to sound like a knee-jerk reaction it does make you think that we really do need a few additions. Only thing that frustrates me is that they're additions I think we've needed for a short while and not just now.

tiger666 hates me:LOL:

Beautiful stuff. Go on man d’oh me again :ROFLMAO:

Maybe deep down I actually really like Sissoko and maybe he’s only pretending to be poor on pretty much all aspects of the game bar physical conditioning.

The whole team looked sick today on top of Lloris and Eriksen being sick as a matter of fact. I question the validity of short breaks in Barcelona. It's not a first time we play much worse immediately after return. Where is the logic of preparing for the game in a warm climate if you play in cold and wet? Name one player who performed at his normal level. Good players like Kane, Dembele, Son etc were poor, not mentioning deadwood like Sissoko.
To back it up
Dan Kilpatrick (ESPN): Poch says other players have been suffering from the illness that sidelined Eriksen & Lloris but refused to use it as an excuse & didn't want to give names.

I think the last thing someone could accuse me of is not having an opinion on sissoko:D

I think sissoko has been massively scapegoated and the abuse he gets is toxic, he's a player who always tries his best and puts in good physical performances however he does lack quality. But the response is always disproportionate to his performance and today is no different. He was by no means our worst player today but if you looked at this thread you'd think he'd scored a few own goals, kicked poch in the face and put two fingers up to the fans.

And yes I am funny aswell
