I just popped over to... bloody hell what's going on here? Literally page after page of non-sense.
Sissoko was shit today, as was everyone else. he's not shit per say, just limited but useful on some days. Dele and Son were worse today, as was Lamela when he finally came on. Dembele was bad too.
There, can this end now?
Going back to watching 13 reasons why.
A good title for this thread today BTW.

No, it was no one's fault. Do you have some sort of binary logic issue?
Nope, just making a point. Not sure you got it though. Keep protecting your Sissoko bro, even if you have to bend the truth to do it. It’s kinda cool. You’re like a loyal dog.

He is not fucking awful.
Lamela missed a better chance and gave the ball away constantly as well but he seems to get a free pass.
I know sissoko has his faults but he also has some very good parts to his game, as does lamela.
It was an average performance by the whole team so let’s not put the whole blame at sc favourite scapegoat please

To be fair Lamela has only played 90 minutes once since coming back from being out injured for 13 months. He wasn't partly at fault for Southampton's goal and the 'sitter' was blocked by the defender who was about a foot away from him.

Pretty pissed right now. This was for us to take. Yet we dont manage to get the 3 points.
Southampton didnt play ultra defensive either.
Son went missing big time, Sissoko the usual "still cant see what his contribution is"-perfomance, Dembele was missing, poch late with subs (again).

We will never get top 4 if we continue like this. All teams around us are strengthening, but not us.

Southampton were a lot improved on their performance at Wembley.

We look wide open at times and Sanchez is overexposed and uncomfortable.

We are a finely balanced side and it takes a little while to compensate for missing regulars, more so when it is a key playmaker.

Was one of those games today, frustrating, lots of players were not at it at all.
So many poor individual performances but the whole team were off the pace, slow, predictable and every player seemed to hold onto the ball to long.
Not sure if it’s the reason why but Poch should maybe look again at the annual warm weather camp, they all seemed like they were still on holiday.

On second thoughts

Considering we gave them a one nil head start and were apparently ill

Draws not,a bad result

It was one of those games where we could have played for another 90 minutes and still really struggled to score, wasn't right from the get go in personal or the way we set out. Similar to Arsenal away in that regard, could tell from very early on we weren't right and on both occasions we weren't able to raise out performance in any way.
It was actually a massive relief that we replied as quickly as we did or probably would have ended up losing the game had they settled a bit on that 1-0 lead.

In regards to Sissoko, I guess the annoyance with him, despite him not being any worse than Son or Alli yesterday for instance is that Son or Alli will go and score a few or get a few assists and most likely raise their game in the next few games whereas Sissoko will more or less perform similarly and at that level in every game for us. I don't hate the guy or anything but we get very little from him in terms of productivity. I'd be happy to see him come on later in a game against tired legs, most preferably from a central position mind but there must be better options for that right hand side. We've even sold quite a few players I'd rather see start there.

It wasn't a good performance that's for sure and we have had quite a few like that so far this season, we just haven't really had the zip in our play this year and defence doesn't seem as tight as before whilst many of us keep expecting the team to go on a run which doesn't seem to be happening.
Although it's still possible I'm not convinced we will get top four this time due to reasons various but 5th would certainly be acceptable all things considered.

All the teams around us are backed by nations and oligarchs... This doesn't need saying right?
