Pay them what they want and maybe even loan them Sissoko. He can't be an attacking option for us anymore. Sorry to continue the anti-sissoko agenda but if Lamela isn't trusted to start ahead of him, we seriously need another rotation option.

Unfortunately this guy has not got the pace we need. Not worth 30m when compare to mane and shala.
Just go and get Bolt then. If it’s only pace you want?

Pretty sure messi hasn’t got the same level of pace as mane either.... if he came available we should say no too!

Not saying Malcom is messi but there is a little more involved in scouting than “how fast can you run”

Why would Sissoko leave for a team fighting relegation, when in a World Cup year he's getting regular games with us?
You realise that's not going to happen right?

Of course it isn't, but he's not going to leave anyway. Pochettino has a fascination with him for some reason.

I don't even necessarily think yesterday was a game for a dribbler, as we saw with Alli/Dembele constantly take an age on the ball and consistently lose the ball in promising areas, but I know who I'd have preferred on the ball. Someone who would at least try and make something happen.

I am not sure we are in desperate need of that kind of pace that Mané and Salah have. Sure it would be great with someone with speed for counterattacks, we had that in N'Jie and look how well that went down.

As someone here pointed out Malcom has incredible acceleration from standing still, just like Hazard. The way we play the game that might be just the thing we need, missing Eriksen yesterday exposed how dependent we are of him, Malcom has that creativity and passing. Sure there might be others better suited but I start to like what I see of him. If we want speed we should go for Moura but Malcom seems to be a bigger talent.

Acceleration is more important than pace - Malcom has great acceleration. Actually knowing when and where to run is more important than pace. Pace isn't all that.

This.

When teams are parking the bus there's not even nessecerily space for someone to sprint around, what we need is someone who can explosively take it past someone and create some space with, as you say, a burst of acceleration.

FWIW from what I've seen Malcom does have pace aswell

Pace, pace, pace bollocks, its not what we need and anyone watching yesterdays game would see that all to well. We need someone with a creative eye to pick out passes. I hope Dembele, Alli, Lamela et all get a right bollocking today, so many times the pass was on but for what ever reason they either didn't see it or dawdled.

I'd rather have a slightly slower player with a brain, than a lightning quick player who has no idea what to do with the ball.

Exactly, complicating things by trying to take on players when there were several options available. Eric Dier slowed the play everytime he got the ball, taking too many touches and delaying a pass which allowed Saints to regroup

Clear to see, our midfielders holding the ball as the saints ran back past them. The one time we string fast direct passes, mostly one touch was for the Kane miss at the very end.

Most of our worst results this season have come against bus parkers not so much teams we need to counter attack against.

Hopefully Malcom will help with that if he adapts well.

I mean the combination of both is the holy grail but that quality of player is very difficult to find.
I take that, and bases on the itk we are receiving, that we are looking at two players to cover both of these requirements. I hope
