What I want to know...Who has upset Hercules?
Nobody. ITKs will only ever be people who are on the ladder somewhere. Be it a club employee, journo, friend is an employee or whatever else. What they pass on is what they come by. They will never know what Levy, Poch or people at the very, very top of the tree know because things change rapidly in football, especially in a transfer window like January. Then on top of that you have the club record of not buying in Jan unless necessary, For that reason it baffles me why people read some ITK info and then treat it as gospel. They set themselves up for disappointment in my opinion because they treat the idea that the club is working on a deal as the deal being a virtual certainty.

Having said that, it's wroth remembering that Poyet has an axe to grind with Levy. Notice he wasn't at The Lane Finale last year...

This bit got alarm bells ringing with me,
"It was reported the French side paid £4.5m for 50 per cent of Malcom’s rights"
Are the ownership/rights issues a thing of the past now or are they still an issue when buying from Europe?

If you mean third-party ownership, it was banned.

Well, I can't speak for Hercules, but, of the other ITKs, Ben, for one, knows people at the very, very top of the tree.

Just been appointed this weekend. I would have thought he'd had some influence, no?

He may have his say on players he wants to keep or sell but I wouldn't have thought he'd have any say in who a player is sold to. If a player is deemed unwanted surely it's up to the chairman/board to get the best deal for the club. Breezer said similar:

"He would help Chelsea over us! But either way he can’t do shit!"

If we're just hoping they will honor a price they've quoted us in the summer I have little to no confidence of that. I'm of the belief that if he isn't officially announced or signed something this window he's off to another club.

I tend to agree. Unless we get him to agree something official now this could go the same way as the Batshuayi deal - that had been agreed in principle only for Chelsea to come in during the summer and blow us out the water

He says it was a condition of him becoming coach that Malcolm wasn't sold.

I mean, sure, he is technically powerless to stop a sale if the owners decide on it, but surely a new coach doesn't trumpet that sort of thing twos days into a job unless he's had assurances?

You're the only one I've ever seen make this claim. I can't remember Gustavo Poyet being anything but respectful in his statements on his Tottenham past. He might probably have had an issue with the transfer decisions, Comoli and maybe at the time feeling that Ramos and himself were unjustly treated, but I don't think there is ground to say there is malice 10 years later? In fact Poyet was even considered, however briefly, as a candidate himself before the beloved Sherwood tok over.

How do you know where the ITKs are in the chain? It's a pretty major assumption that that some of these these guys aren't talking to the guys at the top. Just look at West Ham who get fed info from the owners son. Saying that you're right that things change quickly which is why everyone is told to take the info with a pinch of salt.

You lot need to chill out, itk will come whenever they have news theres no obligation to give us minutes of the meeting.

Stop worrying about what poyet said, been fairly obvious all along this was a deal for the summer. Not like poyet joining means malcom is suddenly stuck for life does it. Likely just his conditions if he undertakes the relegation battle
