He’s gone full Armenian Robbie Keane. Boyhood Arsenal fan apparently.

I don't know why players still do this...it's always a bit silly and we all know that supporting a club is neither necessary nor sufficient for success - especially if you didn't start there. Why not just say - "I'm happy to be here, it's a great club with a good manager, I think I can learn a lot here and am determined to be successful to justify the faith the manager has shown in bringing me here. I'm going to prove I can be a success in the premier league" or something like that - it would actually mean a lot more.

Sure he's an upgrade right now, that's why I'm assuming he'll start in place of one of those three. I meant more that another talented youngster is going to have their development stunted because Mourinho can only work with the finished article.

It's one thing blocking development with average, mediocre or other potential that needs developing, it's another blocking it with a world class player though. I don't actually blame Mourinho too much on this one, he's definitely not hired for his ability to integrate youth, he has to win the title or he's getting the bullet.

I think there have been off pitch issues with Martial, and Mourinho will look to move him on in the summer.

One thing that makes me want to fucking puke is that fanny Mourinho giving it the poor mouth a few months back, saying Man City were blowing them out of the water in terms of the money they were throwing around.
Looks like it worked into making the chairman stump up. Maybe we’re not giving him the credit he deserves ?

De Bruyne agreed terms last week on his £280,000-a-week, which could see him pocket around an additional £70,000 in bonuses.

:confused::confused: Christ that is ridiculous. What's Eriksen gonna be offered, £120k? Literally no idea how City get round FFP.

Especially if he signs before we play them
As he usually scores against us.

We play them on the 10th Feb so if he signs he'll definitely play. Whats also annoying is that sanchez will play against us whem we play united next week.

It's sounds mad but De bruyne's agent has had a shocker there.

And he will be up against Trippier if aurier is injured. Let's hope Alderweireld is back to help out the defence by then.

So hoping the PEAshooter falls through. Or I really think we're screwed if we are hoping to finish above them.

Why? Don't you think he's several classes above what they currently have? And with Mikhatarian, they have, imo, strengthened considerably. Yes, they've lost Sanchez, but he often seemed less than motivated. If we had a ten, fifteen point lead over them, I'd share your opinion. But they're not far back and we aren't strengthening, which imho, we need to do to not only fend them off, but have an improved shot at top 4.

Agree unfortunately. Losing Sanchez is big, but pretty inevitable and if this transfer goes through they’ve done extremely good business.

The good thing though is that their biggest weaknesses still aren’t addressed.

Fact is most of our rivals are strengthening and not just with potential, but ready made quality.

As for “man up”, must be one of the most tedious and overused phrases. As if any negative opinions mean you must spend your time crying into a pillow or something, rather than just having an opinion.

As much as it’s a good couple of signings for Arsenal, I won’t panic just yet, their loss to Bournemouth last week was nothing to do with their attacking players.

Aaron Lennon joins Burnley and he looks thrilled and excited to say the least :D

Looks more excited than when he signed for Everton.

Laporte to City. It's easy to say when they have unlimited funds but I think they've done better then Liverpool here in terms of spend/value
