I think we need to give extra credit for Poch considering he played Sissoko for 90 mins again see I think you have to give Sissoko credit because he is the only player who gives or provides balance in those transitions - offensive to defensive, defensive to offensive - in the team.

There is literally no other player in the team who can provide that. This is the best quality he provides to the team imo and I am glad Poch recognises that.

Also credit to him for leaving both Alli and Son on the bench, I think his strategy was that we bring them back to Wembley and beat them, the more games we win at Wembley the easier it will be for us to win the final there.
Have you been smoking that meth again, young man?

Luckily we have an easy run of games in the time we'll have to do the replay -
just Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Juventus to come.

This usually happens every round for one big team playing away on a terrible pitch. The game isn't representative of where we are as a club, but it does confirm, if any more confirmation were needed, that without Eriksen we are badly lacking in attacking ideas.

Hopefully they'll feel embarrassed and be even more determined on Wednesday.

We escaped...

Looks like a smaller pitch to me which means the long throw was a real weapon for them. Won't have that at Wembley.

The result could be worst. That's the luck of the draw against a lower division side. U know they will all give 100% and with conditions in their favour... They got a deserved draw.

Regardless of the opposition, it made no sense to play a midfield of Dembele, sissoko and wanyama behind 2 strikers.

Sissoko was poor as usual. But somehow, Wanyama, Trippier, and Foyth were all worse.

Wanyama especially. He is still well off the pace.

Fuck it. Proper cup match. Of course we should’ve won but this is what the cup is all about, giant killing. We’re still in and that’s what matters. Arsenal and West Ham would rather be where we are. Well done Newport.

The part of Dembele appeared in flashes today; the part I hated, always trying too much turning and faking and also nasty at times.
