£20 donated. Massive thanks to all the ITK's, mods and members that contribute to keep this forum for what it is. I'm flying in from Scandinavia on Wednesday for the game as a part of my battle against depression and anxiety. Spurs are one of few things that probably keeps me sane and you guys on SC plays a massive part of that so a special thank you and donation from me :)

I've just (at long last) come out of the black place that is depression, not sure the anxiety will ever leave me but I've learned to cope.

If you ever need a fellow Spur to chat with, look me up

Oh I see, well I guess everyone can have a view. True enough things haven't always worked out. Depends if you only want to focus on the negative.

:)
There is no negative. There is realising that, for the most part, ITKs are a cog in the machine and post what they can in good faith, and also recognising at the same time that deals can change very quickly (especially when you have a hard negotiator chairman). And then there's allowing yourself to focus on the possibility and crashing down when it doesn't come to pass.

Recognising that deals are hard to pull off isn't focusing on the negative. It's just being realistic...and personally I think it is more respectful to the ITKs if we take a measured approach rather than hanging on to and analysing every single word they say for weeks only then for a deal they have been reporting on to not come off as it then fuels the "ITKs are full of shit" narrative, which pushes them away.

Transfer deadline day on this forum is like a suicide pact and I'd much rather it be chilled and relaxed with an understanding that deals can change at any minute (especially at the end of a window).
