Arsenal try and push Giroud to Chelsea so the Auboomerang deal can go through. Levy phones Chelsea up, and offers them a great price on Llorente as an alternative on the condition they sell Batshuayi to us. We've upgraded our backup striker, Dortmund lose their replacement at the last minute and refuse to sell, and Levy has completely screwed over the Arse.

Doesn’t this push through boomerang to Arsenal as Dortmund wanted Giroud to replace him??

If @The Goat really does mean Llorente, I'll be quite sad. I was genuinely excited that we signed a guy with 15 league goals the previous season, still at a good age, with pedigree at the highest level both at club and international level, to play second fiddle to Kane. On paper it seemed very shrewd, so if we're giving up on him so soon it'll be a crying shame. That said, he has been awful so if we are able to erase this mistake with minimal damage and fuss then that would seem sensible.

On paper he doesn’t have to run.

This was clearly a hole plugging exercise.

No matter how pathetic Llorente has been since he joined except for Madrid away, to not have a replacement lined up would be absolutely crazy!

Giroud said he doesn't, or at least his wife doesn't, want to leave London. Given what he did to his wife, I'm guessing she has the power in this one.

Because he has been a huge contributor to our season so far? Other than the Madrid game, he has proven to be completely inadequate player for us, and that's coming from someone who was sticking up for him at the beginning. If he hadn't been playing for us we'd be no different. Moura allows us to be more flexible in an attacking sense. More dynamism and more pace. We could easily play Moura - Son - Alli in the absence of Kane. Whilst that extra coin can go towards Malcom or a CM.

Club would never sell unless there’s a replacement lined up

Or unless they think son could do better than llorente and with the signing of moura (and return of lamela) giving everyone enough gametime to keep them happy might be hard.
Especially in a world cup year.
