It was a response to someone saying that selling Llorente would mean we would need to find a replacement quickly. Gards response was "Who is saying one hasn’t been found already?"

Think it will end up pea to arse, giroud to chelsea, bats to dortmund. Think chelsea have brought us in to knock a few quid off girouds price.

If we are going to sell Llorente to them, surely we either are getting something in return or have something lined up, the backlash of helping them for no reason will be extreme.
I think there is a reason- money! We paid to much, he’s shit, maybe we get our money back cause it’s January?

Only reason that doesn't happen IMO is if Conte prefers Llorente to Giroud, or at least thinks it's worthwhile to try and weaken Arsenal by blocking the PEA transfer.

Hopefully, and now it’s been suggested, we have another taker for Llorente other than Chelsea. Swansea, perhaps?

Would love this mystery signing to be Jay Rod

I cant really grasp why Dortmund would want Giroud. He do not fit there style of playing.

Bbc saying Batshuayi has rejected us

David Ornstein @bbcsport_david
Merry-go-round: Giroud was lined up to replace Aubameyang at Dortmund then got offer from Chelsea & was keen, so Dortmund turned to Batshuayi. But Chelsea baulked at Giroud fee so discussed Batshuayi/Llorente swap with Spurs, which nobody agreed on. Deadlock#AFC#BVB#CFCTHFC

Surely all Arsenal have to do to get Aubameyang then is lower their price on Giroud to Chelsea. Giroud to Chelsea, Batshit to Dortmund, Aubameyang to Arsenal. What am I missing here?

Chelsea (Conte) don't really want Giroud, not after they got a taste of sweet Llorente.

And, probably would not mind sticking it to Arsenal to keep Arsenal from gettin Aubameyang.

Conte might not want Giroud, could want Llorente given he's worked with him previously and needs an immediate impact, and certainly doesn't want to strengthen Arsenal by enabling the PEA deal.

Sounds like the replacement for Llorente was Batshuayi but he has rejected the idea.

The chances of there being another option on top of that I think are slim.

Getting a replacement FWD in would be ideal (hopefully one who can play out wide too, so they don't get cold spending 90% of the time benched like VJ and FL).

but even if we sold Llorente and didn't get a replacement, we wouldn't miss him. He was been poor lately, I'd rather Son play up top if Kane was unavailable, and Lucas coming in allows that to happen.
