For some context he said Paulinho would be amazing for us and compared him to Lampard
What happened to Paulinho now ?
Tim Vickery cannot predict we will go thro a bad patch with a dreadful season under AVB & tactics Tim. In fact I also remember Tim saying he is not conventional CM , so we have to be smart about using him. We weren't, but Barca are using correctly - hence reaping the rewards

Excited about this signing if it comes off. Also just doing my bit to get to 99 then 100. Come on everyone ffs, you know how it works, am sure we can get it there. Either that or someone get startingprice in here to fill up 2 pages with one post :sneaky:

My biggest concern is his main trick is changing direction (often inside) and hitting the ball quite a way from himself then pumping those little legs to catch up. When pretty much every team parks the bus against us there won’t be that much space to kick it into to chase...

I know we’d imagine people park the bus against PSG but from the little French Football I subject myself to, I think everyone has given up playing defensive against PSG and Just thinks they will go for it...

Hope he can be a success, but see that more likely being from the bench than as a starter.

I’m coming round to this signing as gives another formation to the team with Dele and Eriksen dropping into midfield and Son and Moura off Kane. Kind of how Man City play

Looking at the clips I think it's unfair to say he hasn't any substance.

I was a bit weary reading the Vickery article as I respect his South American knowledge but watching the clips suggest that he's a player with massive potential and at 25 he's the right age to reach it.

A Brazilian Theo Walcott is a very lazy assessment of him, for one thing he can control a ball.

Not sure if it’s been posted already as can’t keep up with the thread but SSN just showed him at a UK airport.

Apparently needs to complete before midday today if he's available for United - is it possible or would the work permit make it not?

Work permit can take a couple days can't it? Unless you're able to fast track It?

He gives us something we don’t currently have, and adds pace and variety to our attack.

Given how rarely we sign forwards, and how rarely we make January window purchases, I really can’t see any cause for complaint.

I think the only way we justify selling Llorente to Chelsea is if they deal with us for a player of theirs that we want, or that we manage to some how fuck up Arsenal’s Aubameyang deal.
Loftus Cheek? First dibs at him in the summer?
