We'd be fucked anyway, Llorente is useless for us.

I agree. We don't play to his strengths and I'd doubt we'd do so even if he stayed until the summer.

If he goes during this window, it would be preferable that we get in another cover for Kane but it wouldn't be a disaster if we don't.

Poch has already pulled him off early in a couple of matches because he was ineffective.

So it could be Barney Rubble according to assumptions?
Fiete Arp idolizes Kane, is clearly someone who follows Spurs closely based on social media activity, has been credibly linked with us in the media this window, and has a contract running down.

Timo Werner is the top scorer for a club that is so well off financially that they were able to fend off Liverpool's advances for Keita, who they've already signed for the summer, in this window despite the Coutinho windfall. He has not been linked with us in any media reports or ITK. He's also set to be the German No. 9 at the World Cup in six months.

Which do you realistically think is more likely to move to us during the middle of the season?

imo it's unlikely to be arp. No way ready to be a backup and is too similar to Kane for there not to be the janssen/llorente problem

TBH I'd take schurrle if we're talking Germany, can play on winger or upfront, has done it in the prem and won't be too expensive

In addition to following all of our players on social media recently, Arp also posted this image on Instagram last May:

He's a Spurs fan.

Would Arp be seen as a long term target of ours though, hes only 17?

My initial thought was Werner, but seems far fetched.

Draxler or Brandt would be lovely!

Schurrle is absolute muck imo so I hope it isn't him

I fully expect us to have strengthened one area of the squad in signing Moura, only to weaken another area of the squad (injuries prevailing) in selling Llorente and not replacing him... regardless of Son being able to cover Kane up top if needed.

But has he been effective whenever he has played for us? If we get a good offer for him, I'd take the money and use it as full or part payment for new signings (either during this window or in the summer) or use it to increase the wages of the players that we want to keep.

We are not weaker selling Llorente. What the fuck has he done to justify people crying over his departure?

Regardless, it seems like we are going to replace him anyway. People need to chill out about it.
