2 key differences. 1) we played two up top. 2) none was as good as Kane.All a bit chicken and egg the striker thing isn't it. If we get genuine quality then we can rotate a bit more. Because Jansen and Llorente have struggled they have rarely started and prospective better signings are scared off. Morata, supposedly, for example, though we might have dodged a bullet there and now Batshit. Amazing to think we had 4 good strikers a few years back and were only in the Europa regularly !
To give this extra context, last season in 30 games Kane scored 29 league goals. In 2008 Berbatov and Keane scores a combined 30 league goals, playing 36 league games each as our first choice pairing. Defoe and Bent scored another 10 between them in 19 and 27 league games respectively.
