Greaves also wore number 8.
And John White - an inside-forward/ attacking midfielder. 8 being a central midfielder’s number is recent tradition yes, but a more attacking player taking the shirt is far from Bony taking the number 2 for example. Mata and Iniesta both wear the number 8 for their clubs currently.

Apparently Neymar just spoke about Lucas Moura after the match in Paris.

Quotes attached.

Obviously there compatriots but nice to see Neymar rate him very highly.

I think moura will do well for us certainly adds something to the squad that we don't have already, I also think that he will be the only deal we do today really can't see anyone else coming in.

Right, I need some assistance from you more educated members. One absolute melt of a human being has posted this in one of the Facebook groups I help to run, and I'm lost for words.

"I know everyone is excited to sign players, but... why do I keep thinking Moura is no better than Sissoko?"

Post Traumatic Sissoko- it changes the way you look at things. We should be supporting, not demonising

It seems that lucas has a very good relationship with his team mates. Not a player that would throw toys even though he is frustrated
