No, but that doesn't mean his sacking was justified and it doesn't mean he should just be treated as a hate figure.

At the end of the day what did his sacking get us? The underwhelming AVB and the utter joke that was Sherwood. Two seasons wasted in other words.

Personally I think Levy should've been a little wiser and kept him on until he found someone who was truly a step up. AVB was not it. He was a lateral move at best.

Whether by luck or by judgement sacking redknapp has lead us now to our 2nd greatest and potentially greatest manger so in hindsight it was a good decision. It's very possible we wouldn't have poch if redknapp hadn't been sacked when he was

I personally felt that he was disrespectful to the club, which goes some way to justifying it. Not disputing his achievements though. For me, that period was one of the most exciting times.

Anyway, all is well that ends well. It led us to Mo Po in the end:)

They are the biggest club in the world. Why do fans always get butthurt that clubs that have a bigger global profile get the most attention?

These TV companies want their cash!

Tottehnam Hotspur are the biggest club in my world !

Not disputing any of that, but he didn't get the sack for finishing 4th did he?
No, he got told to get on his bike for waltzing into Danny's office and demanding a new contract with a massive pay rise, after the club and fans supported him through his tax case, his dodgy heart condition, and his deafening silence about the England job, which he never got anyway.

Stretching it at best. That's like saying that if Fergie hadn't retired United would've never got Mourinho.

Prefer to see Wanyama in midfield and Rose starting. Maybe Lamela and Sissoko as second half subs to give us more skill and power against tired legs. Anyway Poch is Manager so hopefully he has it right having watched training all week. This will be not only a tough game to win but also a decider on our Premiership top 4 credentials....finger crossed for 3 points.COYS

There were some great things about Harry and there were some not so great things about Harry. Overall, I remember him fondly.

But he doesn't even look fit currently and able to do the screening/running job. It went under the radar in the Soton match, but those few mins he was on the pitch he got absolutely breezed past twice, one of which they could have easily scored from. I'm not sure he's 100% injury free yet tbh.
A bad cameo appearance granted - maybe he's one that finds it hard to get into games off the bench.

I speculate because ultimately he fulfils the remit of being our defensive midfielder better than anyone else in our squad.

We were getting the runaround all game v Southampton. Our midfield was invisible

Out team is more than good enough to do this lot. I wish people would stop making it sound like United are on a par with City in terms of quality. They are very hit and miss, depends on which United turn up. They are good, but so are we. Their fans should be worried about tonight's game. COYS!

Would like to see a 433 with Eriksen playing in the middle to get the ball forwards to an attacking 3. Otherwise that cm is very flat.

Look I'd prefer Wanyama in there, but from what I have been watching, taking his and others poor performances out of the question, he doesn't look fit first and foremost. I suspect he has been rushed back into the reckoning because we are short of options.

Wanyama is a big lad and not an instinctive footballer, I think it takes that much longer to get up to speed. But yes, he has looked very slow.
