Is the name of the player still sensitive? If we have 100% missed out on him, and multiple ITKs knew the name (and thus it must have come from lots of different places and is therefore less likely to put a particular ITK at risk), can we be put out of our misery?

For me personally, info has been more difficult to come by than previous windows, and this imo is a good thing. My connections are not as close to the top of the tree as some of the others and that means we have tightened the reigns further as to what gets out. The targets I am aware of are still I'm told targets for the Summer, which was always the end goal, so until they move somewhere things are probably best not mentioned.
What I will say though is that I can see value to the playing squad in all of them as far as an on the pitch benefit is concerned. I can't remember a previous window where I have thought that in all honesty, and there have always been players I'd have been happier not getting.
As I have said in previous posts, in January we are always looking to do something but it is hard to find quality and availability accompanied by value. Moura offered all three. Things are changing though. We are clearly seen differently by potential targets, and are no longer just seen as a back up option to quality players if the money clubs don't come in for them. All in we come out of this window with an awful lot of positives for the Summer.

Following on from Trix, I agree with every word. Things are super military tight in the club, and the ITK’s have various little insights (not elaborating), and by no means going to spill any beans. The vague clues will continue in the summer, and prior. Only time it changes, is when the press get hold of it, normally via agents. It then relaxes us a bit, and even then safe comments are ‘we are aware...’ etc.
This protects all, and gives nothing away. Hope that helps, along with Trix’s comments.

This fills me with real optimism. And the Moura transfer underscores this point. It all hangs on top players actually wanting to come to the club. And in that respect we are in a better place than we have been for many a long year...
