If he goes to Real Madrid, will the Spanish club have an attacking player spare who we could nab?

I'm guessing they will try to dump Bale to the PL and United+Chelsea will bite. Might even be a swap+cash for Hazard.

Just seen Southampton are in massive trouble. They only have 2 home games left against non top 6 teams. Could be some nice easy pickings especially Rodriguez. Also 4/1 to go down is cracking price.
You mean the Rodriguez that plays for WBA?

Rodriguez who? Surely not Jay since he's contracted to West Brom.

Malcom, Sessegnon, a CM who can transition but is better skilled than Sissoko (maybe De Jong). I think that's all we need.

Meyer isn't even close to the player Eriksen is.

It's like saying Janssen is Kane's replacement.
Not as good as Eriksen but we are not going to get someone that is as good as Eriksen to come in and sit behind him, just won't happen. Meyer is still young and while not as good, would be a better like for like replacement to Eriksen than anyone on our current squad while still having plenty of time to continue his improvement.

Reckon James Maddison will be that guy

Rodriguez (WBA) Schderlinen (Everton) Malcom would be decent buys.

I would be very happy with that

Meyer has created 5 chances all season, in comparison, Sissoko has played 200 mins less and created 22 chances. Eriksen has created 61.

There are much better options out there to back up Eriksen.

Tbh looking at Southampton squad there’s not to much there. Ward prowse but too similar to winks for me. Probably explains why they are in bottom 3.

We have players who could replace Eriksen better in our squad right now and there are far better options out there. Meyer is living off of some old hype and hasn't really ever delivered.

What is this Modric thing??? Real is quite a mess, and doesn't want to sell one of the best midfielders in the world, and can't see him wanting to come here and propably take a pay cut. I know this is wishlist, but still don't understand.

Daily Express today: Real Madrid news: Florentino Perez to propose Harry Kane - Luka Modric swap to Tottenham

Luka is still world class, but you know how Real are. He's 32 now, and they have been poor in their League and CL. they want a total refresh.
obviously no to any swap deal but I think they'd let him go at the right price. Though I doubt it would be us

Madrid won't be after Kane, imo. They'll go for Icardi, who probably does suit their style of play more. Wouldn't mind if they wanted to sell us Luka to fund it though.

Arturo Vidal might become available. Wonder if he'd work.

There's also been plenty of ITK about a big name midfielder we've been working on for the summer.

That would be great, he'd definitively work.
But if he leaves, I think it won't be to us. Mourinho already wants to sign him

Meyer has been converted to a defensive midfielder this season.

The Max Meyer ship sailed a while ago IMO and I think we waved it off from the docks for that matter. He's not good enough and would've likely ended up being another Holtby situation.

I've seen him play a few times this year and he's looked pretty good the times I watched Schalke. I agree with the people who say he's not good enough to start for us though. He is however good enough to provide some quality depth for us. He'd be like an attacking version of Dier, capable of filling in for Eriksen, Dembele, even on the wing.

If we could get Modric (not by swapping Kane for him, obviously), we'd easily compete with City imo.
